Yet another Kids WB show coming to CN next month. They just showed a commercial of it.

Yep! It said in a promo during the encore Naruto!
Woot!

i saw that also. they pronounced the names wrong. Omi was Ami. Kimiko was Kimika. I might have just been hearing things but whatever.

I've been waiting for this since I saw it on the list of the press release, but they butchered Kimiko's name in the commercial!

Yeah, and Jeff Harris told us it would be airing (but not specifically when) on Cartoon Network last week or so.
But, it's just too bad I don't have the resource ready to record the series (the Cartoon Network).
Hey I think I actually merged it right. Anyways this news is depressing, but it won't last too long. Not even Pokemon has had success on this network.

Kazuya beat ya to it. ;)
Yes, but it looks like mine was the one people decided to post in. :p
I started celebrating after I heard this!
So, March 6th is a Monday. Will it regain its old Aftertoons Show slot at 3:30? Will it land a slot on Miguzi, preferably replacing Yu-Gi-Oh GX at 4:30?
We shall wait and see.

or will it take the 10pm of One Piece
and if it takes Dragonball Z's slot, I will start laying punches.
I feel it will take one of the two YGO GX slots in Miguzi.

The only thing going against that idea is that the promo didn't mention Miguzi (I mean, going for it are that it practically SCREAMS Miguzi and I think the announcer who did the promo is also on Miguzi).

This could be successful on CN.

This could be successful on CN.
Yes... yes it could. IF it gets a good time slot (3:30 PM or 4:30 PM weekdays look open right now... hint hint to CN.).

This could be successful on CN.
I hope so. I've had trouble seeing this, and if CN gives it good multiple slots, I'll be able to see it more often. It would be great for Miguzi just before CodeLyoko. Have they said whether it will start from the beginning or pick up in the new season?
Not even Pokemon has had success on this network.
Are you sure? I thought they ran Pokemon all over CN for years, but I may be remembering wrong. Besides, Pokemon didn't have Kimiko. :D

It should. I also figured this show was going to come one day since the other CN's have had it for awhile now.

Speculation:
All but confirmed from the network:
- Xiaolin Showdown (Spring, Miguzi and Primetime)Hmm. So I did. Isn't that interesting. Well, it IS technically meteological and television Spring beginning this Wednesday.

I rather expected it to pop up this Spring or Summer as well but I was rather expecting it last year as well so... eh.
It could be post Miguzi or mid prime time. I would think it would be in Miguzi but since they didn't say it was I'm not sure if it will be. I don't think One Piece or DBZ are in jeopardy though. They might even put it before One Piece for a stint. I'm pretty sure it'll air on Miguzi eventually though. It's the perfect show for the block.
Yeah they pronouced the names horribly wrong but my favorite mistake way Raymuno's it sounded like Rai-mun-do.

So what's everyone's opinion of the show? I never get up on Saturday mornings anymore, so I've only seen websites with information on it. Is it a good show?

Pretty decent show. It's straightforward comedy, but the storylines and characterization give it that extra punch.

Is it a good show? You know how Mucha Lucha has strong roots in the lucha libre style of wrestling? You remember how on Jackie Chan Adventures Jackie, Jade, and the rest of the J-team scattered around the world in search of talismans and portals? Well, Xiaolin Showdown is like a smattering of these two show concepts, except the students are Xiaolin warriors (because Shaolin is trademarked) instead of luchadores. XS is more adventurous than ML and more comedic than JCA.
It's an okay show. Good writing, but the whole animeesque showdown mode at the end of most episodes for control of the talisman du jour is a little, meh. It'll be a good addition to the CN lineup.

Nope, it's supposed to sound like Rae-mun-do.

You know, the fact that we've devolved this thread into a discussion about the pronounciation of an American character's name from an American show strikes me as very ironic and funny.

Except if you say his nickname, in which it actually is 'Rai'.

So it looks like it's post Miguzi at 6PM.
Well okay. But it really ought to just be in Miguzi given double GX... Maybe it'll move there soon after. Since it's not even in "CN prime time". But at least it benefits from 5 days a week rather than 4 like DBZ does at 10:30. I look forward to watching it. I haven't watched it since KWB left weekdays. And for me it'll be on at 3PM. Which is usually a time I can be watching TV before work.
But I've just gotta wonder now... Where the heck is Pokemon? It should be on Miguzi or at least pre-Miguzi right now. Make the double GX madness end!!!

Technically, Clay is the only American. Kimiko being Japanese, Omi Chinese and Raymundo I think is Brazialian but I'm uncertian.

Since it's not even in "CN prime time".Well . . .
6 PM IS considered the start of the prime-time hours at Cartoon Network, just like it is at Teletoon up in Canada. Four hours of Cartoon Network shows from 6 PM to 10 PM EST/PST followed immediately by Adult Swim.
Kind of like how Teletoon is followed by The Detour, because they're certainly setting up the prime-time just like their distant Canadian cousins.

Nope, still not prime time. Until CNF starts at 6PM I'm not considering 6-7PM prime time. It's post Miguzi on weekdays and just uh... nothing on weekends. Prime time is still 7-11 or prehaps 7-10 given future changes. But in a television sense prime time wouldn't start at 6PM. 7PM-11PM is about as big as you make prime time since people are busy until around 7PM and network prime time doesn't even start until 8PM typically.

By television rules, primetime starts at eight and ends at ten, leaving those two hours of six through eight as technically "nothing time."
Technically, Clay is the only American. Kimiko being Japanese, Omi Chinese and Raymundo I think is Brazialian but I'm uncertian. You are correct.

:D *does the happy dance*
took long enough! lol. now i can see all the eps i missed. i hope they will play in order  i also hope the series has an ending and doesn't just stop. look how long it took JCA to start back up and have a pretty neat ending. seems so rare with American toon series.
lol why didn't they get the announcer from WB to promo the show and say the names? lol Ami, Clay, Kimayko, and Ri-moondo! though its funny. their names are said in an American accent, not their ethnic background.

Now, You know what I'd like to see on this...? Xaolin Showdown, Dragon Hunters and Jackie Chan Adventures... all in a line-Up. ^_^ I think that would make a very nice little set up for airing on weekdays or even weekends. It'd be a nice little switch up back to the better times that I remember.

A decent show. But Omi's design is still very awckward to me. I guess they are trying to make this character cute...
If CN aired pokemon from the very beginning then it would get good rateings...
They did.
Then they suddenly stopped. Aren't they still in Master Quest or something?

The problems with that line-up are:
1. Jackie Chan Adventures is Jetix territory now.
2. Dragon Hunters flopped. Big time (okay, not as big as Wulin Warriors... but still big).
and
3. You have enough for an hour and a half. Can you make it an even two?
They did.

I think they finish Master Quest and would be starting Advanced if they show more episodes.
