I'm not sure if anyone here has heard of these camping grounds. I know of three locations here in the northeastern US, one in New Hampshire, one in New York, and one in New Jersey. Does anyone know about these places?

This is their website. http://www.campjellystone.com

No, I don't really know about these types of camp resorts. However, there was at one time a camp resort called Yogi Bear's Camp Resort that opened up in the late-90's between Jackson and Wellston, Ohio. However, the name changed to Lazy Dog a few years ago. Probably the reason the name changed was of copywrite issues.

If the locations I've mentioned before still exist today, I doubt the reason why the one in Ohio closed down was due to copyright.

Yeah, there's one near the Wisconsin Dells amusement park.

I recall our family passing by the Jellystone park camps during family trips to downstate Indiana numerous times (IIRC, we also once looked around one briefly, but didn't do anything).

Wonder how well the parks do businesswise these days---given the low advertising (mostly billboards around Indiana) and the (unfortunate) lack of presence in current media Yogi Bear seems to have these days (esp. among kids)...

I can report that these were scattered about the Southeast as well during my youth, especially in the Smokey Mountains (home to plenty of real life bears). Haven't really seen one in years, though. Thanks for the blast from the past! :)

I knew of the one in NH, but I didn't know there was a chain. Well when I was a kid I wanted to go, but got sent to this boring one in Maine instead.

I've heard of only two East Coast Yogi Bear Jellystone Camping Resorts. Theres one near Luray Caverns In VA and one in the Laurel Highlands area iin Western PA.

When I was little, I always wanted to camp at Jellystone Park, especially the one in Luray, sicne they had Waterslides (and Yogi, of course;) ).
