I love Scooby-Doo because he's my favorite Hanna-Barbera cartoon character from the 60's to the 80's and I can wait to get the Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour on DVD in march because I want to watch that show because I never seen that show before

The original "Scooby-Doo Where Are You?" is the one that will always score the most Scooby Snacks with me. :) But I do enjoy all those 70's celebrities in "The New Scooby-Doo Movies" (how many kids today even have a clue who Cass Elliott was?) and I like "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" for being a silly tongue-in-cheek version of the original. And then there's the more recent movies. One of them, "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders" has probably my all time favorite Scooby-Doo line:

"Like, there's something really creepy right behind us, isn't there?" "Ruh-huh."

But anyway, "Scooby-Doo Where Are You?" is the original and the best. :)

My sentiments exactly!

It's a blessing to late bloomers (like us) who missed out on the original run on ABC and only experienced 1976 Scooby and Dynomutt individually. I used to like the original 1969-72 CBS Where Are You! series (especially due to Hoyt Curtin's original theme music), but since Turner messed all that up by remastering the shows, I've moved on.

(I still have a VHS collection of the old prints with the old theme, however. :D )

The original "where are you" will always be the best. The combination of detailed creepy backgrounds and music with mystery oriented plots was never as nicely recaptured. The New SD Movies is not far behind, unfortunately, the background quality dropped by far! Still, the writing was quite funny sometimes, Phyllis Diller, Sonny & Cher, Cass Elliot and Don Adams contributed well to the comedy! I wish they would have had Carol Burnett join the gang sometime.

I agree with u. I too like the movies with the guests. I too have never seen the Scooby-Doo and Dynomutt Hour show and I plan on getting the DVD that comes out in March.

I basically feel the same way, the original series and "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" are up at the top, with the movies just behind, and the rest all too often just dreck.

To me, the highlights of the movies series was when Jonathon Winters did a series of imitations to try to bluff the ghost Scarecrow into thinking that there were an army of cops gathering to flush him out, and the Three Stooges along with Scooby and Shabby in aerial combat with the ghost of the Red Baron.

Hum.

13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo (REAL monsters? AWESOME)
Pup Named Scooby Doo (with the exception of Baby Looney Tunes, I always like the "younger years" of characters)
Scooby-Doo Movies (The different celebs of the 70s are what amuse me here)

After that, I really don't care. I don't HATE them (except for What's New) but I'm not all that fond of them either...

My favorite is The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show when it ran on ABC from 1980-1982 after two seasons and hope The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show comes back to DVD if Warner Home Video have a chance to release it with the complete 1'st and 2'nd season of The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show on DVD because I vote for it!
