On this morning's Pink Panther, "Croakus Pocus" aired in the second slot. I was in the other room, and when I heard the different title music; I thought it was the Blue Racer (which I find so boring, and I don;t even remember as being apart of Pink Panther when I was growing up). But then I saw the toads, and it was "wow, finally!
This was followed by "A Dopey Hacienda".

This is great news! Tijuana Toads was one of my favorites! Glad to see CN/Boomerang is rethinking airing some toons that have previously been (ridiculously ) considered un-PC.

Oh; I didn't know that was a spinoff of this.

Oh; I didn't know that was a spinoff of this.
Yep. Japanese Beetle also appeared in Toads, too (he was a blue beetle in this one).

"Tijuana Toads" had another spinoff called "Crazylegs Crane".

OK, now they're playing "Flight to the Finish", and this one is dubbed with the "Texas" voices and names!
Wow, this is the first time I have heard these since Think Pink Panther, or Laugh and hour & and half, or whatever the last show to use the dubbing was. In syndication in the 80's, it was all original, and for the past few days so far, it had been oroginal. On this one, they still had the original opening with "Tijuana Toads" (not "texas Toads)!

I wonder if Crazy Legs Crane was supposed to be this crane who chases them (and thus also a spinoff).

Phew! It's a good thing I have "Flight to the Finish" with original soundtrack. It's a little speeded up, since it's a PAL transfer, but I have it, nonthe less.

Now, I think "Go For Croak" will ALSO have Texas soundtrack (because CN in Brazil's copy does), but this one with original soundtrack is available in an out of print VHS tape MGM released 20 years ago.

"Go For Croak" played today, and yes it did hav the Texas dubbing. (Also forgot to mention that the score is completely redone into some country sounding banjo music, sort of like watching the Dukes of Hazzard).

Oh, and I missed where you said that Crazy Legs Crane WAS a spiniff of this. I never realized that.

Ha! I knew it!

Anyway, the tape that has the original version of "Go For Croak" is "Tijuana Toads Cartoon Festival featuring Go For Croak". It was part of the Viddy-Oh! for Kids release from MGM and also contained "A Pair of Greenbacks" (directed by the great Art Davis), "The Froggy Froggy Duo", "Hop and Chop" and "Never On Thirsty".

Yes, Crazylegs Crane was a spinoff from "Toads". He later appeared in "Blue Racer", then in "Dogfather", and finally, his own show.

I don't want to say this, but the Japanese Beetle is one of my favorite characters. :D I think the creators of the bug should had a name like... "Samurai Beetle," because he loves to fight his foes, when everytime they got in his way. :D

Also the Japanese Beetle reminds me alot like...... Hasimoto Mouse (one of Terrytoon Characters) :D :anime:
