And speaking of "does anybody remember". How about the old Jay Ward series Hoppity Hooper????? Has that been showing anywhere? Some where in my video archives, on the tail end of a casset, I think I've got the show opener, but nothing else. Any series info out there?

Ah yes. "Hoppity Hooper" debuted after "Rocky and Bullwinkle" ended.
The show had similar structure (complete with Mr. Peabody and Fractured Fairy Tales). However, each serial was limited to four 3-minute parts, rather than 40 like in the Bullwinkle series.
The show did have a syndication airing (under the title "Uncle Waldo's Cartoon Show") and I believe many local television stations aired the show in 1980s.
If you search hard enough on eBay and Google, you can find 16mm transfers or old video recordings from the 1980s rerun.

I remember it being on SatAM during the noon hour, though I never watched it.
Given the big success of "Rocky and Bullwinkle" through the years, and the recent big revival of "George of the Jungle", I'm rather surprised this show has stayed in limbo.

With everyone here...
Like other Jay Ward series, stuff from Total Television Productions-Leonardo Television ("King Leonardo and Odie" on NBC 1960-19634 aka "The King and Odie Show" in Syndication,1963 onwards), "Tennessee Tuxedo" (1963), "Underdog" (1964-73), and other segments and shows, was mixed in (not to mention sharing "Gamma Productions"/Peter Piech animation thus making the art work look IDENTICAL), due to the special agreement between the studios and the various agencies (Dancer FitzgeraldGerlad and Sample, agent: General Mills, cereal).
"Commander McBragg" (1963) which originated on the "Tennessee Tuxedo and his tales" show (the www.jumptheshark.com (http://www.jumptheshark.com) website's entry for it didn;'t mention Don Adams's death!) , was included, for instance..but only the jay Ward staff are mentioned, then as usual Bill Scott passed on voice credit, leaivng Hans Conried, Bill Scott, and Chris Allen's credit (I've found that June Forya seemed, ironically, NEVER to be the voice of "Susan Swivelhips", U.W.;'s gal pal, but Ms Allen was!) -- but the "Dudley Do Right" show that Cartoon netwrok showed (remember when THEY showed thsoe old shows!) showed combined credits in all departments for Jay Ward AND Total-Leo.TV (due to the same agreement that resulted in the comination--see first paragraph!!!)
I loved that theme song, and the Ward caricature under the proecution and the end title with H.H. hopping around the Jay Ward produciton studio..(comparable to the Beany and Cecil and original 1961 theatrical 101 Dalmations opening credit)

"Uncle Waldo's Cartoon Show" is actually still in syndication as apart of The Program Exchange. Boomerang has access to it but have never picked it up.

I've never seen it, but I would like to.
Total Television is pretty much to Jay Ward Productions what Filmation was to Hanna Barbera. They never made anything quite as good as Jay Ward and Bill Scott did, but their shows were pretty good.
