2005 was great. Though we lost a lot of famous people this year, hopefully we won't loose anyone in 2006!

In around 4 minutes, it'll be 8 hours away from midnight.....It shouldn't feel too long at all to get there, espically watching the Naruto marathon. I would like to wish an Early Happy New Years to those like me who haven't seen midnight yet. Happy New years to any TZer's who are in 2006 now.

Here's to another year of disappointments... especially disappointments in the television industry.
Here's to another year of innovations... cars with more beneficial features, the new home theater, the new Windows, Internet stations (you know, those things where you watch TV shows and exclusive broadcasts on the 'net [no longer restricted to streaming audio signals])... the list goes on.
Here's to another year of collections... new State Quarters, new DVDs, and more books.
Here's to another year of saving... making wise decisions by saving money is probably more of a benefactor than anything else.
Wow, how does it feel to be in the new year?As a UK guy in a not interesting senario...I can safely say it hasn't really hit yet lol

Don't be too exited about the new Windows Vista. It will come out in 2006 on the date scheduled, but it will be rushed. They had major delays in development. So they have to rush it now, since they anounced the dave for the developers. It will be very buggy, since everyhting will be .Net intergrated.

Here is my middle finger, for it says "'eff off!" to the disaster that was 2005, and warmly welcomes the non-crapy year to be.
And then I wake up and realise, MVM are still in business and Tuner UK is geting away with Toonami UK and say...

I hate New Year. I find it scary to catalogue a new time period where anything can go wrong. I see the negatives far more than the positives. They tend to be more memorable.. and far more forboding.
Thank god the NY is done here Brit side.

We have about 45 minutes where I live until the New Years. Despite some of my losses, disappointments, and tragic moments I thought overall 2005 was a pretty good year. I have to say I enjoyed it more than '04. I'm also glad Dick is back to hosting New Year's celebration in NY, wouldn't mind going there one day. Here's to managing to survive another year ;)

Happy 2006 everyone. For all here, I hope the New Year finds you well.
I woke up at 10:30 this morning with a modest hangover, showered, got dressed, stepped outside... and it was eighty degrees. In Texas, on the first day of 2006, it's warm enough to go swimming. In an odd way, that feels right.
Personally, I dig the New Year's holiday. There's something about the notion of waking up to a new year and a fresh start that I really enjoy. The opportunity to go out there and change your life is there every day, of course, but it's something I'm more conscious of on this day.

Hope everybody has a happy new year. 2005 wasn't a very happy year for many people, so hopefully things will go better this time.
At midnight I was playing a game of Magic and partying with almost every friend I have in the area. We had a good time.
I've always loved New Year's Eve, but for some reason once the ball has dropped and the new day begins, it never feels like it's any different. The next morning is just like the last. I'm not saying the holiday doesn't mean anything to me; it does a great deal. But changes don't happen overnight, they happen gradually over a long period of time. That's why I don't make resolutions at the new year. I'm always trying every single day to do things better and to be a better person. So here's to another year of boldly racing into the future. For the improvement and unification of mankind! TO FLYING CARS AND TALKING TOASTER OVENS! EXCELSIOR!

Lol, I'm such a "firsts" freak. On New Years Day, I was like "My first drink of 2006: apple cider!" and "My first water!" "My first sleep!" "OMG my first anime!" "Holy crap my first cookie!". I even made a firsts thread last year.
:p
Yeah, Happy New Year again, everyone here on TZ.
