Any word on the second episode of Impact, because this one's looking kinda....eh. Especially with Monty and Double J "In Tag Action", and in wrestling when you hear "So and so wrestler will be in action tonight", it means it will be a squash, and I'm not up for a squash.

Good promo by Jackie gayda. I guess it just goes to show you that even jackie Gayda is turning out to be a good fit for TNA. At least its not a love triangle that she's involved in.

Even when Joe has a squash, its fun to watch. I hope TNA gives him that raise.

Well, I mean it wasn't something that was must see. Homicide, Apollo, & Konnan beat up Bullet Bob basically. Konnan's the leader unfortunetly, and I don't think Homicide actually said anything, and Konnan barely acknowledged him.

This is only a step away from my dream of seeing Julius Smokes on National TV.

Bah. My idiot brother screwed up my VCR and I missed the first hour and will have to catch it on Monday.

New Years special was good. Was it just me, or was the crowd really sitting on their hands during the opening segment? I heard boos and "boring" chants for Jarrett loud and clear, but Sting, Christian, Rhino, and 3D got almost no reaction whatsoever. Maybe they'd just been sitting through a long taping and pretty much knew what they were getting.

Title match was very good, and although between WWE and TNA I've completely had it with the screwjob endings, this one kind of worked. AJ and Daniels weren't going to win the titles, and it sets up Styles/Moore which has much potential.

Note to those of you with XM Satellite Radio. Don West is going to be on Opie & Anthony Monday morning sometime between 7-11 eastern. It could be a good interview as O&A have done great radio with HHH, Jericho, Rock, and Foley in the past. But DW is very over-the-top on the air and hopefully they don't have to make an ass of him like they did with Dick Vitale. Ramoooone, Jeff Jarrett should wear Robert Reed's robe to the ring.

Any time someone says "Slapnuts" its a winning segment.

And the tag-title match was good. I guess Shannon Moore will fight Styles next month.

So that's what I heard. Styles vs. Moore will be a good match.

iMPACT!

All the 2005 moments were a nice look back with Christian Cage of course being the best. I was a little disappointed that it all dealt with stuff that happened since Spike, but I suppose that’s be expected.

Seeing Sharkboy teamed with Kenny King it made me wonder what happened to D-Ray 3000. Seems to me he just disappeared.

So Jarrett offered Jackie a job and then didn’t follow-up? And now she knows something that Double J doesn’t want others to know? Did they imply she left the WWE to come here? Learned a lot, yet gained no knowledge. At least these two women aren’t fighting over Jarrett in the most traditional way.

Still seems odd to me that Abyss is helping anyone, but I guess if Mitchell has convinced the monster that he will benefit from saving Scott D’Amore from Rhino then I guess he’ll do it.

And Samoa Joe beats down another one. He’s been allowed to be much more impressive than Lashley and as the evil heel he can afford to be silent, but I’m still growing a bit tired of him in some ways.

Well, Bullet Bob’s talk didn’t go as well as he had hoped. Konnan is clearly lost. With both Apollo and Homocide, it looks like the two men called James could use Killings back.

Hard for A.J. to play the numbers game when it’s three-on-one. I like seeing him get his hands on Gail, but then the beer bottle came into play. A couple of months ago, one never thought Styles would be happy to see Christopher Daniels.

New Year
I liked having the countdown with Christian for the new year, even if it was at 11 p.m. my time. The following Tenay and Christian announcements were no surprise of course, but it was still nice to have official.

Even better than that was the Jarrett-Christian promo confrontation. Anytime you can slip in call Jeff “Slap Nuts” is a win in my book. :D

The tag match was good, but it sure felt like there were a lot of commercials.

So I guess Shannon Moore just “punk’d” A.J. Styles? Bit surprising to see him start right at the top, but I suppose if you want to make an “impact’ that’s what you do. ;)

The wrap-up video was cool as wrap-up videos usually are.
