The sad thing about advanced classes in high school is that there really is no such thing as a homework-free break.

I've got two papers to write/tidy up myself.

Since I don't have any classes until Jan.9, beside work, i have nothing better to do. Except for doing drawing but I procrastinate.

You know, its strange, but high school is actually a lot harder than college, just cause you have so much more time to do your work in college, plus when the semester is over, its freakin' over.

There should be a law against assigning homework over Christmas break. In high school I one time had a professor assign me a paper over a break, and that was probably like the only time I ever passed in a paper late. Seriously, how the hell are you supposed to get work done over Christmas break?

I have to finish my college apps, which pretty much just involves editting my essays and submitting the Common App online and alll that stuff. I also have a section of Calculus to do and I need to read 1984 and write a journal on my thoughts while I read it.

I have.. lesse, 60 math questions to complete, spanning the entirety of last year's syllabus. I've got a Chem, Bio and Math test either next week or the one after.

No, I haven't gotten to them yet. o.O

edit: the tests' topics span, once again, the entirety of last years syllabus. (over here first semester is in Jan.)

Lots.

Which could probably wind up in getting me kicked out if my home if I don't do them post haste.

Oh well. I hear park benches and dumpsters are nice this time of year.

If you were all true sufferers of procrastination, then you would have put off posting in this thread. In fact, you would have put off reading the thread, loading Toon Zone, loading up your web browser, turning on your computer, washing your hair, getting out of bed, going to sleep, etc.

It's only the things we think, "Ah, crap, I have to do [this or that]," that we will actively try to avoid by pretending to do things more worthwhile, and then justifying that reasoning to other people. Usually doesn't work, but hey, it's worth a try.

I am the king of procrastination. If I find something to watch on TV, I'll put off sleeping, no matter what I have the next day or how early I have to wake up. I've been telling myself to write a novel for... let's see here... 5 years. Any minor things that would only take a few minutes I shove aside and eventually forget about until it's almost too late. Oftentimes I'll end up writing/working on an assignment at 11 at night that's due the next day. It's awful, but I do it anyway...

Toon Zone is very helpful for procrastination. Whenever I'm at college and in my dorm room and thinking "I have to do this thing for class. But I don't want to. Hey, I wonder what they're talking about over on Toon Zone?" Two hours later, I'm typing a reply to a thread about why I prefer to eat cereal instead of baccon in the morning, and my school work is still waiting for me. (Heck, it's the reason I haven't gone to bed yet!)

Yeah, I think my sleeping habits suffer the most because of Toon Zone, although I've been putting a hefty dent in that weakness here lately. I'm working on keeping that dent permanent.

Still, I just can't resist a good discussion from time to time. I just wish somebody would start them more often.
