According to the highly reliable Figure 4 Weekly, Charlie Haas who was cut by the WWE this summer, is slated to return to the WWE.

This is good news. Hopefully but I doubt it, he will reunite with Shelton Benjamin and re-form WGTT.

Then again, he may be making a Matt Hardy type mistake. He left the WWE angry after Creative mishandled him for the past year, which I can't blame Haas for that. Maybe he would've been better off with his wife Jackie Gayda in TNA. He would've gotten a sizable push.

I find it very hard to admit this, but this goes to show you how bad the WWE is at the moment. When you question people for returning.

Outside of saving Shelton Benjamin from his 'mama' and bringing back the World's Greatest Tag Team, this will go absolutely nowhere.

This is even more of a WTF than Matt Hardy coming back. It must be a money thing and just goes to show that, unfortunately, TNA is still the minor leagues. Haas would have been much better off there, wife or no wife, and he still goes back to Vinnie Mac.

While the tag team division could definitely use the shot in the arm I just find this odd. Not because Charlie was mad or because his wife is employed by another company (although they do merit consideration), but because it seems to go against the supposed angle that is about to start with Shelton Benjamin. I suppose his mama could bring Haas back to "help her baby" but it just doesn't seem to fit. At this point I'll file this in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category.

Unfortunately, he'll be cut again before 2007. Bank on it.

Hass is a great wrestler, but he needs a gimmick and a look. He never made it anywhere as a singles wrestler because of this in the past, he is just to plain and in the WWE if you don't have a look or a gimmick you will be burried, just as Bob Holly.

Hass would have went further in TNA, but I doubt he would make it to main event status there considering there main event scene is pretty jam packed now.

Sorry for bumping a thread that's a few days old, but I think it's worthy of an update.

PWInsider.com (http://www.pwinsider.com/elite/ViewArticle.asp?id=15338&p=1)(IMO, the most reliable news site on the net not involving Dave Meltzer) is reported that Charlie Haas is slated to return to WWE, even as early as tonight's episode of Raw.

Could it be that the person on Shelton Benjamin's phone last week was in fact his former partner in the World's Greatest Tag Team? Has WWE answered my prayers and, at the very least, put the brakes on 'Shelton Benjamin's mama'?

Didn't Shelton say "Love you too." at the end of his conversation last week? Or maybe we're supposed to just kinda let that slip our minds...

From figure-4 weekly:

Raw is tonight, and yes, Shelton Benjamin's mama debuts. She is not Jamal, Charlie Haas, Super Porky (sadly), Viscera (also sadly) or anyone like that. She's a legit actress I believe from LA, and they have HIGH hopes for her.
Sadly, I guess we are supposed to remember "I Love You." :( :(

Unless, and I highly doubt this, but she might bring in Haas if Shelton's streak continues.

Think about it, maybe if Shelton keeps losing, she could say that he needs more help and brings in Charlie Hass. Or even if Shelton wants to win the tag titles or something and he can't find a partner, insert Hass.

Sorry to dig this thread up, but I thought you might be interested to know I saw Charlie Haas at the 1PW event here in the UK yesterday, and Haas confirmed he HAS signed for the WWE again, and will return to action "this month".
