I voted Pepsi.

It's funny how this may sound. But Pepsi tastes better during the summer and Coke tastes better in the winter. Maybe it's just me.

My brother one time told me that if you're used to drinking coke you'll start to get sick of it and Pepsi will taste good to you, and if you're used to drinking Pepsi all the time you'll get sick of it and Coke will taste really good to you. Maybe that's what's happening to you. You get sick of one cola and the other type of cola ends up tasting really good to you.

By the way, has anyone ever tried Pineapple soda? That's some good ****.

Coca-Cola. I really don't like Pepsi, it tastes too sweet. I did like Pepsi Blue a lot, and my family actually mixed it with Coke and it tasted realy good, even though it looked green. Of course, that stuff only lasted for a few months.

I'm really cutting back on soda in general, though. It's way too unhealthy, although it's really the only kind of junk food (if you can call it that) that I eat. So now if I do drink soda, it's only Coke Zero. I'm not a fan of diet soda, and Coke Zero actually tastes a little lik Coke (and a little like Diet Coke).

I only had it a couple times eons ago but I think it was pretty good. I believe it may have actually survived into the 90s in isolated areas under the name Coke II.

I don't think Classic Coke tastes quite the same as the original Coke did, but I was just a kid at the time so who knows.

Sprite is the one I drink the most of followed by Frostop root beer. I almost always drink a Cherry Coke when watching a movie at home and always do at the theater. I drink a Jolt Blue every weekday before school sometimes accompanied by an AMP or recenlty an MDX. I liked to drink Pepsi Blue when it was available and especially when they handed it out for free. Too bad it's no longer available though.

Grape Soda is a gift from the gods! Besides that I enjoy Sprite, Orange Soda, and Big Red but mostly Coke since my entire family can agree on that. Coke is also the only type of soda I can drink warm while the rest has to be drank at their coldest.

Well, yes, that is a theory, but the one I subscribe to is that, since Pepsi was slightly beating Coke in sales (blasphemy, I know), Coke decided to try a Pepsi-like formula (Godawful), let people see how Coke would taste that way, and then recreate the original as "Coca-Cola Classic", with such a media blitz that it took over sales from Pepsi, to this day.

... or maybe it was a Crisis On Infinite Earths tie-in plotted by the AntiMonitor.

Anywho, though I'm not a big root beer fan (can't stand the stuff really, unless it's with ice cream), of them all I do favorite IBC and Barq's. A&W rocks more than... something else that rocks, but only if it's fresh from the place. Canned and bottled just isn't the same. Well, indicative of it's context, IBC is a root beer. If you did not know that, Brettfern, you could have used Google.

It is located at Google.com.

Now, by typing in "IBC", you might get distracted by the Iraq Body Count, Insurance Bureau of Canada, or the International Bioethics Committee. Not what we're looking for, considering we're in a thread about drinks.

Add in "soft drink", and the first link you get is...

Chad Bonin
01-04-2006, 03:59 PM
Given the incredibly shrifted amount of TAB still available, it's gone to essentially pop-culture memorabilia (I regularly wear a TAB shirt). Given that Coca-Cola maintains other Sugar Free drinks that sell better (and taste better, in all honesty), TAB has been relegated to cult fandoms only, just with a very small production run.

Why are you surprised, knowing Tab's limited production, that nobody's stated it as their favorite. It's only slightly equivalent to someone saying they like Crystal Pepsi. (And yes, I feel incredibly dirty for comparing a Coca-Cola product to a Pepsi product)

A&W is pretty good, and I like Barg's okay.

Mulling over the poll choices (and Knux's posts on Crystal Pepsi) reminded me of another long-gone soda: OK. I used to love that stuff when I was kid, but I haven't had one since the early 90s so I can't even recall what it tasted like.

So I thought of one that hasn't so far been listed: Izze (http://www.izze.com/DesktopDefault.aspx). Technically it's not a soda, but a sparkling fruit juice. Still, it tastes like a soda, only it's A) all-natural, and B) ten times more refreshing.

If you ever have a chance, grab yourself an Izze. I get them at Whole Foods, but there are probably other places you can find them. They're delicious. My favorite flavor is clementine, but blackberry and (surprisingly) pear are also quite good.

Depends on the kind of soda.

If it's a black soda, it then depends on what I'm doing. If I want to stay awake during a gaming marathon, Coke. If I want to chill, Pepsi. If I'm feeling cheap, Tesco Cola (which is as good as Coke, IMO).

Lemon-lime sodas: Kickapoo Joy Juice. Something from Japan... I was first introduced to it in episode 11 of Full Metal Panic.
