Is this a clip show of deleted scenes? We shall see.

I must see untitled Master Shake Project. Because those Deleted Scenes alone were hilarious.
The hosting segments were brilliant, and Shake was funny as ever.
And a plus:
The Moonities are funny again for the first time since "The Last One".

Although some of the clips were a bit off to me (mainly the ones of Carl being forced to hurt himself, although he was great shooting shake at the end), this was a definite winner. The best parts though had to be the various cutaways to Shake and meatwad narrating the clips. I espically liked all the cracks at why clips are cut (not fitting with the story, not testing well, having to retake a scene and altering it) and Shake bossing Meatwad around. Great stuff and good reason for it to be 22 minutes.
But still, when IS the ATHF movie coming out? I mean I'm pretty sure it's definite but they've been very sketchy with info on it. I'm sure if it did come out this year it would of been announced. Maybe there will be a spring release or hopefully sometime early in 2006. And hopefully it won't mean the end of the series. ATHF still has a lot of good juice in it IMHO that could stretch out for at least another FULL season.

They hinted that the movie will come out Memorial Day weekend.
Also why cut out the whole broom up Carl's butt or cutting through his own leg? That's was just far too disturbing to show on AS even for their standards.

That was actually pretty good and a great recovery from last week's crap promotion to please Boost Mobile. I am really interested in the movie and seeing the Mooninites pimped out ship was hillarious.

God Bless Rims.
That is all.

IMO, this felt the most like ATHF of these past three episodes. The characters seemed more like themselves, as evident by Frylock's "Wanna take the broom out of your ass first?", his delivery on that was hilarious. Especially amongst all the chaos/incoherant Carl.

Just a random thought I forgot to put:
This weeks credit sequence is offcially the best credit sequence ever. Boost Mobile's pales in comparison.

For quite some time now, Adult Swim has had the Friday Night Fix (http://www.adultswim.com/fridaynightfix/index.jsp), which makes the following Sunday's programming available fior free on Friday from 11:00pm to 6:00am.

God, the bits with the Monninites and Carl at the beginning, with the blinged out ride, were great. Then they went and had Carl shove a broom up his ass, AND try to saw his own leg off... ugh. It was still pretty funny, but it went a bit too far at times. Easily the best of the past 3 eps, and yeah, the bit with Meatwad and the guard was hilarious.

This was not funny and has made me decide to not see the ATHF movie.

If that was indeed a deleted scene from the movie, then my best bet as to why they cut it out was so that way the film could get a PG-13 rating (since when it comes to summer films, it's better to release a PG-13 version of the film than an R-rated version of the film).

I would figure that the entire show was to harken back to Spacecatazz that usualy was the opener for last season.
So essentialy I think all those lost clips were to opener to the movie
I mean if you link it to spacecatazz openers I think you get a solid line of continious events

The weird thing about this special? This feels as if none of this was actually in the movie to begin with. Call me weird, but most of the scenes were connected between having the aliens and Carl having that broom stuck all the way up his butt (which was sick and almost vomit-inducing) makes me think this is a bunch of clips that they want us to believe are actually in the movie but this is actually a regular episode, extended with all of this side commentary by Shake and Meatwad.
I have this weird notion that the actual movie will have absolutely nothing to do with the stuff shown in this episode. Which for me, would be a good thing, because I was definitely dismayed and turned off by a few scenes. (Though for some reason, it still turns out to be just like the ATHF humor we're used to.)
6 out of 10.

Well, Shake did say that everything involving all that stuff was cut out(of course, he also said Frylock wasn't in the movie, which I highly doubt...)
I did feel the whole shoving the broom up the ass was pretty bad, just had a hard time with that one.
The stuff with the rims was pretty good, and I liked the scenes with Shake, Meatwad, and later Carl in the screening room.
Great episode...
Heh can't believe people were worried this was going to be another "Mommentary" or that TGTTM making of ep.
Really can't wait for the movie now!

I wouldn't have mind if it was like the TGTTM making of, but if it were anything like the mommentary or even any SGC2C commentary (these guys make great shows, but my god they have some of the most boring commentaries ever on their DVDs) then it would have been a let-down. But yeah, the movie can't come out any faster! I want to see it now!!!

I never watch Adult Swim so consider this a random question:
Which was/is grosser? This or GTIS: SAC: "JUNGLE CRUISE"

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. More evidence for my "ATHF movie is just an elabrate hoax" theory.

If that was CUT OUT of the movie, I wonder what the movie will be like.

I certainly hope so, cause no one would pay money to see that. I mean, it was okay as an episode. But, that's it. It felt just like an episode. They need to do better than that. Also, I would figure the animation would be better for a theatrical movie.
Also, I would figure the animation would be better for a theatrical movie. What are you talking about? They're using the same programs they use for the TV show, just adding in some new animations. They're not going to change (unless it's for a joke) just for a movie.

Now then, why would someone pay money to see the same crappy animation that they've been seeing on TV every week?
Now then, why would someone pay money to see the same crappy animation that they've been seeing on TV every week?o.O Nobody watches ATHF for the animation. Just like nobody watches Sealab, Brak Show, Space Ghost, or Birdman for the animation (though Birdman does have some pretty sweet animation).
If people watched ATHF for the animation, the show would've been canned early, since there's only about 5 minutes worth of animation for Frylock, Meatwad, Shake, and Carl combined (not counting any new animation they did for the movie).

So why would people complain about 30+ year old anime then? It's the action, story, and dialogue that matters.

I concur with this theory.
So why would people complain about 30+ year old anime then? It's the action, story, and dialogue that matters.Because it's 30+ year old animation that is supposed to be taken seriously. ATHF's animation isn't. It's part of the joke so it's supposed to look cheap. It did help that ATHF had Space Ghost to help familiarize people with the style.
I concur with this theory. Why do people think the movie's a hoax? They've been working on it for over a year (apparently the script is 80+ pages long compared to the 11-12 pages a typical episode has), including re-doing the entire plot from the ground up. That Squidbillies thing really jaded you people, didn't it?

So what? All those shows are FREE. Well, okay, you have to pay for cable. But, we're talking about a movie that costs 7 bucks to see, plus ridiculously priced snacks and gas to drive to the movie theatre. No one's going to pay money to see that.

Ehh, movies based on TV shows have done well before.

But, we're talking about a movie that costs 7 bucks to see, plus ridiculously priced snacks and gas to drive to the movie theatre. No one's going to pay money to see that.First off, you're assuming that ATHF will get a wide release, when it likely won't. Second, why change the animation style at all? Part of the ATHF charm was the same repeated animations over and over again, so why get rid of that? I mean, most of the movie is likely going to be the characters talking anyway, with lots of the "campfire" explosions littering the background. It's what makes ATHF ATHF. Besides, it's not as if the story they're trying to tell is this epic clash against thousands of alien warriors or anything. It's basically an animated version of the end credits.
