You know, I really like these guys. Good show.

That was awful.

With the exception of 3 or so good one-liners, it was incredibly dull and Rose is such an incredibly annoying character.

I loved it.

I'm guessing this show is in danger in terms of a pickup. In a few weeks Adult Swim is going to ship it off to Saturday while it still has one episode to premiere in season 1. It hasn't made much of a blip on the ratings radar.

I fear others may have felt the same and didn't bother to continue giving it the chance I did.

No offense to others, but I wouldn't mind if this is the case. I've given the show a chance, even after it's not-so-good pilot and I just couldn't get into it. The Sackflashers episode was funny, and other episodes had it's moments, but all in all it just didn't have the Adult Swim-feel to it. I can't emphasize how much I hated Hoop too, if it were a show with Stroker, his son, his ex-wife, and maybe some of the other supporting characters, we could work with that (doesn't matter if CARR is there or not, he's not that funny and not really needed.)

If Adult Swim themselves like it, it might have a fighting chance. The Venture Bros. wasn't getting that great of ratings at first, but improved heavily later. I'm guessing Saturday will be a test to see if it makes the top 3 that night. I'll give the show credit for being better than Robot Chicken and 12 Oz. Mouse though.

I would be pretty neutral if it got cancelled. It's a hit or miss show and I've only liked a little more than half the episodes.

They renewed 12 oz. Mouse despite putting it at 1 AM. Then again, this show is much more expensive than 12 oz. Mouse.

A Happy Meal costs more than 12. Oz Mouse. The only way that show's gonna get cancelled is if absolutely no one watches it.

S&H is pretty average. Not much else to it.

This show can't seem to do better than, "kind of funny," or, "would be funny ona different show." I found Coroner Rick amusing, but Stroker and Hoop themselves bored me. The advertising agency plot felt powerfully bland and thin on humor. Something about the way this show plays out sucks the comedy out of what could be good set-ups.

And I still hate Hoop. I should think that the block could handily do without this program.

** out of *****

Huh. I really feel like I should've worked some sort of surreal or strange zinger into that review. I blame the schools, it's always the schools. The writers for this show probably went to a school, filthy places, schools.

This is as bad as Boondocks. It can't hold my attention because it fails to be engaging time and again. Give me Perfect Hair Forever!

David Whittenberg! He probably got more for this one episode alone than a years worth of work on Naruto.

Gotta love the "these guys don't know what they're doing" line.

The final line saved this episode from absolutely sucking, but it stands as my least favorite so far. "They always land on their face."

Dave Wittenberg gets around. He's on Kids Next Door every now and then.
