1. hidden menu objects - The most common egg. Usually put off somewhere to the side of the main menu sections or hidden so you wont notice it unless you fool arround with your remote.
2. Timed eggs - Same as above. but only available after letting the dvd menus run for a couple cycles.
3. HIT SELECT NOW! - Eggs that are played if you hit the select button on your remote a little too early.
4. Locked eggs - Very special features that are "locked" with a special code you need to imput with your remote. Famous examples include the Star Wars blooper reels and the legendary 3rd cut of Terminator 2.

There's also the Easter Egg in which in have to input something while the feature presentation is playing in order to activate it.
An example of it: on one of the DVD's for the anime series Noir, if you press up, down, left, and right (in that order) during one of the eye catches, you'll be treated to an Easter Egg in which the Noir cast is depicted as sock puppets, with them being hired to kill voice actor Chris Patton.

A Giant picture of an egg with a straight out statement: "Look! there's an easter egg!" That was the best easter egg ever. Heck, Brak even sang about it on the menus! :D

None of the SW DVDs will let me access the blooper reel, and my remote has all the required keys. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I doubt it as I followed the instructions from several different websites to the letter about twenty times. (I love blooper reels)
