Did anyone get S1Vol2 today? If so, let's talk about it? I've asked for it for Xmas, but I want to know how the quality compares to the last set, if they are any glitches, and the order of the episodes. What about the extras?

I'm waiting to see if I get it for Christmas before putting money down for this set. I was really disappointed on how they handled S1V1, so I hope this one turns out better. While I knew not to expect a He-Man-quality release, WB could have put forth more effort with at least a glitch free release. It also looks like they're putting a feature on the set that sounds halfway decent this time.

Quality aside, I can't wait to see these next set of episodes again. There's some great ones here, including the infamous Annointment Trials. I hope this release turns out better than the previous one.

Bad news, I just read that the Anoinment Trials are not in order and spread across all of the discs. :sad:

BTW, does Vol2 come with an insert promoting Season 2?

No there is no promo for Season 2.

As for the Anoinment Trials being on seperate discs; it's both a good thing and a bad thing. It's bad because we have to keep switching discs to see them but unlike the multi-part stories from GI JOE, Transformers and Jem; each part of Lion-O's Anoinment is actually very self contained with only small parts to connect them.

But they are supposed to be one long 5 parter, not separated. I believe they aired on Saturdays back in 84, which is why they aired inbetween episodes.

in terms of episode order, the annointment trials are mixed up. I think CN even aired them in the DVD order on Toonami.

Nope cuz they aired First Trial before they aired Mongor.

I know CN aired the Annointment Trials right after one another. I should know, the show was what got me into Toonami in the first place.

They aired them in order during reruns, however, when they first aired them, they aired Day 1, then Mongor, Day 2 came a week later, Day 3 was about 4 days later with Day 4 two days, and Day 5 was another five days.
