Did anyone pick up this disc?
This thread is also the talkback thread for "Fantastic Four": Cheese On! (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=7464).
If Johnny actually did say "Cheese On!," do you suppose he'd be covered in cheddar instead of flames?

Meh! The old Hanna Barbera Cartoon of FF was more "serious" than this thing.

I haven't had time to completely check this disc out. I went right for the Marvel Avengers trailer as soon as I popped it in. Despite it being a bit too fast I thought it was a great trailer. I also watched a few scenes from the movie and the trailer looks pretty sharp and the audio is just excellent. Did anyone pick up that Best Buy collector's edition?

It looks like there may be a difference between the American and Canadian version of the Fantastic Four DVD, according to Home Theater Forum (http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=241866). It looks like the Canadian version has been edited with some new scenes, and have removed others. The interest revelation, if true, can be explored by clicking here (http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=241866). Below is a list of the known changes found on the Canadian edition of Fantastic Four:
Here's the breakdown:
THEATRE: No scene of Reed and Sue at the planetarium talking about their first date, which was also in a planetarium.
DVD: Planetarium scene
THEATRE: Scene with Reed and Sue talking by a railing about why Reed wasn't more agressive. Reed inflates his jaw.
DVD: No such scene. The inclusion of the planetarium scene would make much of the dialogue redundant. One of the three deleted scenes in the extras is the cut scene from the theatrical release (the other two being: Reed experimenting on a flower... and the horrid "Wolvereed" gag).
THEATRE: Reed proposes to Sue by stretching at the waist so he can kneel and look her in the eyes at the same time.
DVD: The stretching part is cut out. He is simply shown kneeling like a normal person would.
THEATRE: After the Thing knocks the top of the hydrant off, Mr. Fantastic morphs into a sling-like shape and redirects the spray into Doom. He has wet hair in the aftermath.
DVD: The Thing knocks the hydrant down and, in a long shot, the water blast is shown heading directly into Doom. No morph scene. Mr. Fantastic still has wet hair afterwards (as if from just being nearby).
THEATRE: When Sue breaks up Johnny and Ben's fight after the stunt cycle exhibition, she uses her forceshield to keep them apart.
DVD: Sue's glittering force field FX against Ben is not present.
THEATRE: Von Doom's masked voice is pretty much just Julian McMahon's voice, unaltered.
DVD: Julian's masked voice is given a reverb effect to make him sound more metallic.
THEATRE: The Four just "happen" to meet Ben's fiance on the Brooklyn Bridge.
DVD: As Reed, Sue and Johnny's car pulls onto the bridge a voice over is added saying something about having arranged to meet Debbie on the other side of the bridge (which makes their meeting seem less coincidental - and her less of a heartless b*tch - so it's an improvement).

Do you guys think that FF will have an extended version? I think so because it is a Fox release.

Absolutely. The region 2 release has several extras missing from the US release.

I got the Fantastic Four Collector's Edition (BestBuy) this morning, and I was wondering how many discs it is? The reason I ask is because I have the movie disc and the comic book CD-Rom, however, I could have sworn I saw a second disc that read Special Features on it. Am I going crazy?

i think thats the 3 disc one,, not too sure.
However be on the look out in 6 months when a new special edition hits..word is going around that UK and asian countries have seen diffrent versions of certain scenes at the theater than what we saw in the US theaters.

The features are light, similar to the Spider-Man Deluxe Edition's 3rd Disc, and are as follows:
- "From Comic Book to Film" Adaption Featurette

Correct. It's a pretty fun collection to have but it's not essential. I did like having all the issues of Ultimate Fantastic Four on the CD-Rom. If you can get it for about $5 more than the regular edition then go for it but I wouldn't exactly recommend it. With the double dip coming sometime next year probably I'd wait to pick up this movie.

Except I said in my first post that I got the BestBuy Exclusive for Xmas, so I can't help getting it. :p Besides, I figured there will be a DC soon, which is why I asked for it for Xmas. If it is a Fox or Sony release, it is guaranteed to have a DC.
