I'm watching my roommate's DVD's and ****ing loving this show. Everything I ever wanted out of the Wing Commander movie, but never got because they wanted to do a horrible movie instead.
It's like Starship Troopers, but serious and with spaceship dogfighting action along with ground pounding military manuevering.
Good stuff and I only seen the Pilot. It's no ensamble cast like what we got of Firefly, but I don't wanna get too attached to these characters as I don't expect them to all survive this season.
Good set up, good action, mysterious enemies and good production for the time. I wish I'd listened to my friend when he told me this was cool, but that wouldn't have saved this show.
There just doesn't seem to be a place for good sci-fi on TV these days.
You know, this would make one killer video game for the next gen systems. A proper mix of Wing Commander and HALO action.
