Another talkback thread that's late.

and another "dividual" episode 3 straight to start the season just like they did season 1 not to original

I feel bad for the major having an all guy team since they're all talking behind her back like that :(

"One of the bastards just copped a feel!"

Ha, Batou cares a little to much about that.

This episode got off to a great start.

TAICHIKOMIAS!

And what's with the girls? Some things never change I guess. Sickos will be sickcos. I love how GITS deals with issues like these.

Sweet, Looks like a real dangerous lazer system.

man, that was well done sting operation.

I loved the Tachikomias comments on the party goers.

Sadly, still no vacation.

Subtitled, he actually said, "HOLY ****! Someone just touched her butt!" So yeah. They change that a little.

Tachikomas and perverts. HAHA!

They removed the sub titles from the card at the end.

They removed the sub titles from the card at the end. :confused:No. On the DVD, they're softsub. TV verisons usually leave out the subtitles sense the companies don't bother hardcoding the subtitles to video for the TV edition.

Was anyone else getting an Ocean's Eleven vibe from this episode? Things like them playing over the security tape, the puck-like gas thing, the vault itself. The music even sounded a little similar (kinda Bebop-esque).

This one did have that feeling.

Check out one of the (can't remember which one) interviews in Volume 1 if you don't believe me.

Diffiately feels like Ocean Elven was referenced. Nothing feels so great than seeing a plan come together.

I liked the end... I was thinking, wow, the major and Batou actually on a tropical vacation together? But it was just a hologram and the cheif yelled at them to get back to work. :anime: haha.

Other than the perverts, I preferred this episode over the first 2 of the season because this one actually had humour and an easy enough to follow plot. And tachicomas.

My God, the fanservice...the faanseerviicee...

Greaty episode. A not-overtly-complicated and pretty cool plot, and Tachikomas! Those things are awesome.

Loved the bad guy's dialogue to Aramaki at the beginning. "It is not a crazy sex party!"

Delightful episode, and refreshingly easy-to-follow for an installment of this usually rather too dense series.

I'll admit my biases straightaway... I'm a sucker for a good heist story. It's absolutely one of my favorites genres, from classics like Rififi to, yes, Ocean's 11. And this was a very well-done, if traditional, heist plot. I enjoyed the glimpse at what a vault's security systems would look like in the Ghost In The Shell universe. The existence of more dangerous laser systems than what you usually see in things like this was a particularly nice touch, and the idea of cyberbrain patterns being used as a locking mechanism was pretty clever.

Fortunately, the whole thing was nicely paced, and the little twist with Section 9 being the folks who set the whole thing up in the first place was clever and logical. The animation was stellar as usual, the dialogue was pleasantly light, and the little bits concerning sexuality were intriguing.

Plus, the ending was cute, and the music really got a chance to shine. Overall, a great half-hour of TV. I'm really glad this show's back on.
