Hey, yes -- I had to work on my day off, so I had to record this Christmas special.
I have to say that this special was done quite nicely. The wintry scenes look quite nicely. There were a lot of references to A Charlie Brown Christmas, such as the music (it was very Vince Guaraldi-esque) and the little doghouse, etc. One of my favorite scenes was Coco in the Santa Claus disguise. And Ed -- definitely in a "merry" mood. Bloo really got his fair share at the end. Hee-hee. A very well-written Christmas special, done by Ms. Lauren Faust.
EDIT: Bob Marley (Bloo doing the three ghosts, one of them was Marley) -- hee-hee, that was great, too

Well, I would have taped it, if CN had run an ad for it or someone here had mentioned it. I'll check the schedule and set me up the tape, then I can comment.

I was thinking the premiere was tommorow night. I'll have to catch the next airing.

Looks like there IS no second airing for the next two weeks, according to the CN schedule page. Yahoo TV's listings are down and I don't know of any other free ones anymore. So bust.

Yahoo has it listed as encoring this Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST. I hope that's right, because I forgot it was on tonight, too.

There is indeed an encore next Tuesday at 8 PM, but CN has it classified as a special which is how come you won't find it by looking under the Foster's schedule.

Sorry about that, guys (for those that missed the premiere). I had no idea that many of you didn't know about the special. I had to work on my evening off, so I wasn't able to do the talkback topic sooner.

The Charlie Brown-esque music seemed to be a little excessive at times, but not too much. I liked the neat little touch of Snoopy's house.
The episode was okay. I LOVED Bob Marley the ghost, and Wilt being forced to go 'round the world, but really, that was it. Not that much else was funny, but I guess not too many Christmas specials go for that.
I really wanted Mac to be smacked in the face with the (real) truth, like the many children who have or will watch this episode. But whatever. B
Edit: Upon rewatch, there was a Jewish (Driedel) friend? That was a rather clever way to show the religious point of the Holidays.

Good for Tuesday. I'll tape it and get back to you. Radical Dude, you ain't CN, so it tain't your responsibility to get the word out.

Tuesday at 8? I'm there, or rather taping it (as I'll be in class).
I'll be sure to write some stuff about it after I see it.

This episode was alright, I think FHFIF is going down-hill really quickly. I was expecting to be completely blown away by this episode (I guess I was thinking too hard)... I thought Terrance was going to trick Mac that Santa wasn't real or something...

Finally saw it.
This was perhaps the funniest episode of Foster's so far...and that says alot. Maybe I was just in a good mood after the Danny Phantom special, but than again maybe this episode was just so great that I was to delirious to think straight. And of course Foster's continues to be visually stunning and inventive. I mean who would have thought to use the traditional "squash and stretch" bouncing ball that every animator knows in such a way. I missed half of what Mac was saying to his mom (except for the underwear part, that caught my attention) gaping at that really cool use of the white ball cycle.
Some moments of note.
-Charlie Brown like music.
-Bloo slapping Mac before he can state the obvious that Santa would get sued for making brand name toys. That had me rolling.
-Coco still working at that mall from Store Wars. It was great when the manager had a meltdown over her lying, plus her revealing that she had a home to pay off. Anyway, alls well that ends well, she won her battle in court..
-The nice, but quirky Madam Foster that we all love. I didn't get bent out of shape about the end of the European episode, but it's still nice to see her in charecter.
Bloo horribly, and hillariously mangling Mr. Dicken's classic story. I mean Bob Marley? The ghost of Christmas future being a robot? That stuff's brilliant, major props to Lauren Faust the actors and the rest of the talented storytellers on this show for pulling off such a wonderful bit so well.
-A little bit of self indulgence on the part of Mr. McCrackin and some of the shows veteran artist. The keen eye (and those of us who taped the show, and are geeky enough to constantly pause and rewind it), would notice that one of the presents Mac opened was an "Art of The Powerpuff girls" book. It also looked like he got some Jarhead related stuff.
-Yes! Bloo got coal, and he so deserved it. You knew a jerk like him had to get his comeupance.
-Dradel dude constantly showing off that he gets eight presents to Bloo's one.
Anyway, there were to many funny moments in this episode for me to mention. So I'm just going to stuff my gift in the stockings of the people who make Foster's (yes I sound self-important), a big fat A+. Good job.
P.S Our digital box cut out before the show ended. The last thing I saw was Frankie looking up the chimney after Santa came. What happened after that?

Here's a good way to get attention... use an original idea for your show's Christmas special. In this case, Foster's presents this case... does Santa Claus really exist?
I loved a lot of stuff... Bloo and Mac's different reactions after seeing Frankie bring in all of those imaginary Santas, Bloo's tests to prove Santa exists, and Bloo pulling the 'Ebenzer Scrooge' act with great and hilarious inconsistency. The happy ending was interesting, but I suppose it had to be done, huh?
The 'Charlie Brown' music was an innovative change, but to me, it just made the rest of the episode rather dull.
And who isn't glad for Bloo getting his comeuppance for once?
7.5 out of 10 for "Lost Claus." Not going to be a Christmas classic, but still, credit the Foster's team for trying to pull a Charlie Brown and center around an idea that goes against the norm.

This was a nice Christmas episode. Some of the Christmas I've seen sometimes involved lots of action(Like Danny Phantom "Fright Before Christmas", Teenage Robot "A Robot of All Seasons", Kids Next Door "N.A.U.G.H.T.Y") but this one is mainly about Mac & Bloo enjoying Christmas with his friends while trying to figure out if Santa exists or not. I like the part where Bloo pretended to be Christmas Ghosts but ends up ruining Christmas by telling Herriman to give "Not One Present" to anyone and Herriman took it the wrong way. The ending was really heart-warming when mac realizes that there is a Santa and very funny when Bloo gets a lot coal he swears revenge. It was funny at the credits where Herriman begging the "ghosts" to spare him. Though i didn't hear what he was saying(Thank you very much voice over  ) but I got the idea on what he was saying.
Favorite Quote: Bloo-"You win this round Santa. But mark my words, I'll have my revenge!" (I think that's what Bloo said. :p )

I thought Mac's wish was good for finding out if Santa was real, and I thought his mom's reaction was hillarious. "What's a guy have to do to get underwear around here." "Well, there's always your birthday, We'll get you lots of underwear and new socks."
The first 1/2 was to slow for me though. I give it a 3.

To be fair I don't think it's possible for an origianal christmas idea anymore (at least in a Kids cartoon where it has to not only fit in with editting codes but also be entertaining and uplifting for the 2-11 year old bracket) but the idea of Santa claus really exisiting or not has been done in several shows. (Jimmy Neutron for example). So you can't say it's that "original" an idea.

Well also remember that Foster's is stricly a comedy show. MLaaTR, DP and KND are action-comedy shows so would also have some action in they're holiday tales. If you want to see a Craig Mc Cracken action inspired Christmas yarn, go see the powerpuff Girls christmas special.
This special was alright. I have to agree the highlight was Bloo's interrpation of "A Christmas Carol" to Mr. Herrimen. (Who actually wasn't as uptight or irritating as he had been in other Season 3 episodes like "Crime After Crime" or "Camp Keep A Good Mac Down"). I do hope at one point we do get to see What Mac's mom looks like. The joke was already done in PPG guys: don't reuse it here, okay?

Now that was a really nice episode! It touched on all the usual Christmas special cliches without belittling anything. Very nice. And to think I was worried by the first few posts that this would be bad.
Most of the good points have been touched on, except one. The three friends had nice bits in this: the star on top, the kissing, the bubble wrap. They're not in it much but their pieces shine.
I do wish CN would quit with the giant ads on top of the show. They cover half the screen. There were two of them this time, and one covered up the dreidel so I would not have gotten the joke if Bloo hadn't called him by name. They're worse than pop-ups. You can block those.

I was going to say the bubble rap too. More proof that Coco is my kind of person.
Bubble rap is often more fun than the stuff it's suppouse to be protecting.

That includes Jimmy Neutron, whose show I don't watch, but even so, that would be something I'd expect him to do. Investigating Santa's existence, that is.

Ok I know this is an old topic but I shall bring it back from the dead lol. Any ways I just saw the episode and found it hilarious, I've loved every episode thus far. Very funny moments my favorite has to be when Bloo swears his vengeance on Santa ha they should have shown images in the end of the next Christmas with Bloo getting revenge on Santa I think that would have toped off the ending nicely, any ways very good A+ I'm glad this episode was nominated I don't think The Fairly Odd Parents will win that award, that show has sadly gone down hill :D

Howdy,
I think this was on about 18 times over the holiday weekend, and we seemed to catch the last 15-20 minutes of it about 15 of those times. Good thing my wife and I liked it so much. We even taped it so we could show it to the niece and nephew (and their parents), all of whom seemed to enjoy it immensely without knowing anything at all about FHfIF.
The episode got me snickering at the pseudo-Vince Guaraldi jazz, pretty much had me when Moishe the Dreidel showed up ("No, I said I get 8 presents." Haw!), and got me rolling on the floor laughing when the ghost of Bob Marley showed up. Also loved the trailer bit with Mr. Harriman's reaction to Santa's visit.
Will it have the staying power of something like A Charlie Brown Christmas or the Grinch? Maybe, maybe not -- time will tell. For the moment, though, it was a real hoot, a nice little Christmas gift, and a good addition to the pantheon of Christmas 'toons.

This could possibly be the best Fosters episode yet! :)
I was in stitches when Bloo pretended to be the ghost of Christmas future!
But yeah, I saw it twice over the holidays. It was the best new special in my opinion. I can't flaw this episode at all. The pacing was perfect, the story was solid and the laughs were numerous. I give it a 10/10 definately.

I think Bloo got what he deserved and I am happy that Mac regained his Christmas Spirit.:D
I have to agree with alot of people. This was a very good Christmas special. Very very solid throughout. The Christmas Ghosts thing was just beyond great. Even though the ending was expected, it was executed just as good as well.
This is second, pretty much, to the Johnny Bravo Christmas Special I only saw this year too.
