Venture Bros. Season 2, What Night Should it air?

Alright, we notice due to the schedule changes that Saturday now opens up with an hour of comedy, 2nd hour FMA and GITS premieres, and 3rd hour whatever anime shows in reruns. When Venture Bros. first premiered on AS, it's night was Saturdays. It started off slowly ratings-wise because it was on before Futurama, rather than after. Once they traded spots, it seemed to have done better. On Sunday nights (except the time Fox didn't want Family Guy to open up AS or whatever and they gave Venture Bros. a "trial") it seemed to do pretty decent in ratings. It's aired Thursday nights for awhile because it appeared they would rather air this than Milk-Chan repeats during the last few episodes.

Enough of the lecturing, which night would you like the show to premiere on: Saturday? Sunday? Thursday? Whatever? Vote on and please explain.

Edit: Oh yeah, I voted Saturday because I feel that if it airs right after the Boondocks, it could be a potential ratings getter and these two would be a breath of fresh air despite not many action premieres. Maybe I would have them repeat on Thursdays...

I voted for Saturday. I did not like comedy intruding on action Saturday at first. Futurama seemed out of place following Gundam Seed (you have to assume there will be some blending between Toonami audience and that of adult swim) eventually and with different bumps I could see how a sci-fi comedy sprinkled with action could work. The same of Sea Lab. In both cases they were given bumps unique to Saturday (back when they cared about creating that unique Saturday cohesion). When Venture Bros. came on I was also skeptical about a comedy show premiering. I quickly gave in, the show works great at 11:00 (not sandwhiched between anime). The show is funny and has great story telling cool 60's style design and great sounds all of which have that sort of nostalgia for yesteryear that many anime shows also seem to have (Cowboy Bebop I'm looking at you!). Anyway Venture Bros. doesn't fit in with the early Sunday conventional sit com cartoons (FG, American Dad, Boondocks) it has more action and so I'd say Saturday at 11:00 with maybe a catch up Thursday at 12:30 would be apt.

Premiere Sunday night, encore presentation the following Saturday.

Sunday is the big number night ratings wise, I see no reason to air first run episodes of a series that can generate strong ratings on a night where there is a smaller viewing audience available.

Sunday nights at 11:30 after Boondocks with a repeat Saturday at 11:30 after Boondocks.

That way it gets good ratings.

Saturday all the way! I loved watching it every Saturday in Fall 04. It had the perfect mix of action and comedy, and it just seemed like it fitted the block.

Preferably at 5:30 AM.

If it has to air earlier though, Thursday, there's not as much good stuff then.

Definitely not on Saturday, keep it far away from there.

I voted for sunday so that it can air after a new boondocks which is in my opinion the best show on AS right now and think that it would be a good spot for VB.

As much as I liked having something good on Saturday, I know how bad a timeslot that is, and thus would prefer to see it on Sunday.

Weird I always thought of Saturday being action. I was kinda mad when the boundocks came on Saturday . Alright I was furious!:mad: I mean that show should stay on Sunday. Sunday to me always seems like comedy night. I mean we got Stroker and Hoop, Boundocks, family guy, american dad, robot chicken, (venture bros. was on there once I believe). For goodness sakes please keep the comedy away from Saturday! becuase Cartoonnetwork does a good job with action shows on toonami and then we get comedy??? Boundocks is good but it has no right to be on the same night as saturday shows.

Which I why The Venture Bros. needs to stay on Sunday. I tappe Sunday shows and watch them in the morning or afternoon. I hope it goes on Sunday because action is saturday. well it is action but I mean good anime action like samuri champoo and that new robot show (the purple robot).

I'd prefer to see Venture Brothers season 2 premiere on Saturday just like season 1. Saturday needs more premieres with the new schedule the way it is.
