Is there any chance they will air "Back to the Future"? I know Turner has the rights to it, as it has been on TBS recently. I think that even though it's TV PG they'd be able to show it, because batman and the goonies were both TV-14.

Not at all.

The less live action, the better. I love Back to the Future (own the whole boxset) and love the other movies mentioned, but I'm just hoping those movies aren't doing well in ratings giving the heads of CN more stupid ideas.

well, if they are gonna pick up more live action movies, these might be a smart choice, with the animated series and all(aired on fox box a couple years back)

If CN can air The Goonies because it has a cartoon-like feel to it, then they can probably air anything in the TCM library and beyond - so long as it's "cartoon-like". With positive spin, technically anything can be considered cartoon-like.

Yeah, CN would probably consider the Time Travelling Delorian Car "animated". I love the Back To The Future Trilogy, and I wouldn't be surprised if they did decide to air it, but I don't think they'll be airing more new movies for a while because the reason new movies were airing on CN was because CN stated November as Movie Month, and Honey I Shrunk The Kids is the last new movie for this month.

Why on Earth is Cartoon Network airing live action movies at all?
I just don't understand it. When did this start happening? Why is it happening?

PLEASE STOP GIVING OUT SUGGESTIONS!!
Keep CN free of Live Action as much as possible. This month of expermination is over and we don't have to worry about it any longer. The current schedule is bad enough and we don't need Live Action properties taking over. We don't want them screwing up every last bit of dignity the network has left. Just watch your home copies of movies and shows or beg Spike TV or TBS to do that for you. Please keep this away from CN before it becomes another MTV. Please do it for the sake of cartoons.

I agree. This is how many TV channels slowly shifted from one type of content to another. (Remember when TNN became Spike TV? It didn't happen overnight.) If live action movies infest Cartoon Network to a great degree, they may never go away. Then we'll have live action TV shows join them too. Eventually, the channel will drop the name "Cartoon Network" in favor of some new name, and before you know it our beloved channel will become another Nickelodeon / Disney Channel / ABC Family / etc. clone. :(

What they said.
At the very least, please just ignore this stunt and pretend it didn't really happen, but if you're going to mention it at all, condemn it and rant against it and make CN regret it! But, for the love of all things holy, please, don't anyone start encouraging or suggesting things!!
Even in a "if they have to do it, even if I don't like it, they might as well air this" sort of way! That's encouragment whether you intend it to be or not!
And really, what's so appealing about seeing the same stinking movies that TNT and TBS play every weekend on CN? You have the chance to see them on those networks, so why do they ever need to be on CN as well?!
