The Cartoon Network axes Teen Titans!! :crying: :crying:
The Cartoon Network has officially cancelled the best show in cartoon history...The Teen Titans!! It was fun watching while it lasted. I was going to write a letter in support, hoping that they wouldn't pull the show. I guess they did. I wouldn't bother writing one.

Once the CN makes up it's mind, that's it!!

I don't mind, as I still have two whole seasons to watch.

Though, hopefully, the creative crew of this show works again... on another show, of course.

At this point it's ok if it's cancelled since it had a long run. It was a great show and it had a long run. I feel no sorrow for it being cancelled.

You mean Tom Kenny.

Well if he says it it must be true.

Now if we can hear Steven Jay Blum say More Megas is in production :P

Cartoon Network never announces cancellations. Turner never announces cancellations. Cartoon Network always makes their cancellations stealth. Soup2Nuts announced the cancellation of Home Movies, not CN. CN announces new seasons, if a show is not mentioned in the list then it is cancelled. CN would never directly announce a cancellation. Evil Con Carne. Megas XLR. Sheep in the Big City. Courage. Cow and Chicken. I.M. Weasal. All of those shows had a stealth cancellation.

Probably im wrong because the guys name Derek Wyatt (mumbo), probably is his user name, still he states that he works on the cartoon.

:\ Wouldn't say best show on Cartoon Network but it was decent.

I never really cared much for it, didn't watch it a whole lot, but what I saw of it wasn't half bad.

Ah well.

Though, hopefully, the creative crew of this show works again... on another show, of course.Considering that several of these people used to work on B:TAS/S:TAS/BB, no way Warner is going to give them up without a fight, just like the JL people.

So many loose ends haven't been tied up though so I'm rather bummed it didn't get renewed. It's a ratings winner so what's the reason for this? I guess like Seventh Heaven the case may be that it's getting too expensive to bring it back and a new production from scratch would be cheaper. But Teen Titans is certainly one of the best NA animations on television right now so it would be have been keeping. Afterall it gets some of the best ratings for CN. Perhaps it slipped... well at least it's finishing gracefully unlike JLU which hopefully will at least get a steady run for the rest of this season rather then have them stagger it because they don't think the ratings will hold up.

I read that a big part of the show's end was the fact that Warner Bros. recently laid off many from its workforce. So, I wouldn't doubt that this played a big part of the end for the Titans. It is a shame to see this fine series go, but all things must come to an end.

Teen Titans was a good show. Not a great show like the Simpsons, but on the same level as Ed, Edd, n Eddy which had the few sweet tastes of success. However, other things got into the way of the show which forced the cancellation premature. The cartoon, in my opinion, went full circle of most of the stories, but I have too seen the lack of advertisement of some of the newer episodes. Hopefully there could be a tv movie to rap things up and fix the loose endings.

I, for one, am happy about this. I think Teen Titans represents when CN started to go downhill. It used to be such a great and unique mixture of funny new cartoons (dexter, johnny bravo etc.), and classic Hanna Babera and Warner Brothers (Scooby Doo, Jetsons, Looney Tunes etc.). Then CN decided one day to become the repeat network. Now, they show little if any of the classics we have come to know and love, and besides Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (which BTW is a great show), they don't have any good new cartoon cartoons. Now all they seem to show are 'battle' themed anime and the same 3 cartoon cartoons 50 times a day. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Once the CN makes up it's mind, that's it!!Thank you god! man finally that show is done! I realize I wasn't a huge fan of it, plus it is aired WAY TOO MUCH on CN to begin with. To me, it's like finally the show is over...I guess it was just overrated to me

Due to the confusingness of this thread with no sources in the title, I am going to direct you to Jim Harvey's thread in the DC Animation Forum.

Sorry to see it go.
