Richard Donner, eh? A lot of you youngsters don't know this, but Richard Donner also directed a live-action serial called Danger Island for the Banana Splits TV show back in '68. It had characters looking for treasure, too, and running into all sorts of crazy characters: pirates, "Uh-Oh! Chongo!" and...(Jan)Michael Vincent..

And for an April Fool's Day promo (if my memory of the old CN serves me right), 2 Stupid Dogs said their favorite cartoon was...Danger Island.

Okay . . . why is Cartoon Network showing live action movies now?

What's next? Cartoon Network airing "Ready To Rumble?" (Alas Edited for content. and is a live-action movie) because WCW by the time of the film's release had become cartoony! Heck CN may air the Infamous WCW title match in which Arquette won right after the movie!

Pro wrestling *isn't* "cartoony"? ;-)

This is perhaps the only time in my life I hope for a talkback thread to become a joke thread of some sort, because I can't believe that someone would watch, let alone support, this.

This is perhaps the only time in my life I hope for a talkback thread to become a joke thread of some sort, because I can't believe that someone would watch, let alone support, this. Indeed. When I briefly flipped by CN that night and saw live action, I died a little inside.

I agree with Speedy Boris and Javeman, CN should not air live-action. I cannot believe some say things like "Well, Cartoon Network needs SOME live-action programming". SGC2C, Fridays, and Osmosis Jones are acceptible, but The Goonies, HWSTK, WW, and Saul of the Mole People are simply not acceptible.

How on Earth can you rate The Goonies TV-14?
