Favorite "A Tribe Called Quest" Album?

Like the title says, what is your favorite album from the former hip-hop group, A Tribe Calle Quest? For me, it has to be The Low End Theory. It contains my favorite songs, "Scenario", "Jazz(We've Got)", and "Check the Rhime." I also like Midnight Marauders.

i really like 'em all... but i guess i'll have to go w/ u and say "the low end theory".

"check the rhime" is such a tight song. :)

The Low End Theory is the only album of their's that I own, but I'll be damned if it isn't a great one. =D

I'd have to say Midnight Marauders. As much I love The Low End Theory, I still prefer Midnight Marauders for some reason. All of their albums are great (even Beats, Rhymes, and Life, and The Love Movement which are subpar) are still great

I think I'll go with Midnight Marauders, it's a strong offering from top to bottom. Low End Theory is a very close second though.

Yeah, for me, it was definately between the two. I mean Marauders had "Electric Relaxation" and that song is so nice to have with your girl or getting high(Kids don't do drugs).:cool:

Midnight Marauders is so near classic and holds as my favorite, with Low End Theory right behind. But man, nothing bad came from A Tribe Called Quest. Such a nice group.

Even though their final two albums wern't their best, if any other artist had released those, they would have been well recieved.

i did manage to see Tribe live once, great show ('96/'97 i think)

i'm torn between Low End Theory & Midnight Marauders...but I'll go w/ The Low End Theory by a nose hair! One of my all-time faves is on it Jazz (We've Got). But Phife did have some sick rhymes on Marauders (especially Electric Relaxation)

man, I'm inspired to listen to that tonight...on cassette!!! gotta upgrade tribe to my cd collection

why out of the blue w/ tribe...is there a reunion buzz? i know digable planets are touring & recording. is tribe next. godd i hope they have the same chemistry. i didn't like q-tip's or phife's solo projects. i guess ali shaheed muhammed was the x-factor

Actually, I listening to Tribe's songs this weekend, so I decided to make a topic about this. In terms of a reunion, I don't think it's likely, due to contracts and stuff.

In terms of a reunion, I don't think it's likely, due to contracts and stuff.There were actually rumors going around in 03-04 that Tribe would re-uniting and recording a new album. They even recorded a new song for a compilation called ICU (Doin it) (I got off the internet, pretty good song actually). But unfortunately I think those rumors have cooled off now, and I've heard nothing since then =[. It's too bad I would kill to see them live.
