Jonathan Mangum, on his site www.jonathanmangum.com (http://www.jonathanmangum.com) confirmed that Comedy Central is not interested in a second season, and ratings were very low.
Spoot.
BUT, Jonathan claims that Drew Carey still has an idea in the works, but Jonathan said he, or any other castmates, can't talk about it.

I loved that show!!!! It was soo cool on how they animated the whole skit with all the improvized acting. I love the first improve show with Carey, who's line. It was actually part of my school work once in 7th grade (Daffy Dork remembers) and it was soo fun to watch them. And with Green Screen they improved it, but no new season?! :crying: Depressing....very depressing...

I know this is probably been explained before, but why did they start this show in the first place? Why didn't they just keep going with Whose Line?

Whose Line was getting low ratings, and I guess people were tired of the fact that it pretty much became "The Ryan, Colin, Wayne and Drew Show With Special Guests".

I'd rather watch a revived OG Whose Line? with Clive instead. Oh well...

I wanted to like GS, but I just couldn't find it funny. The fun thing about Whose Line was that the viewer had to use their imagination, and GS took that away with the animation.
I'd rather see a WL? revival with a rotating cast every week.

I completely agree. I felt a bit cheated by GS; it was kind of stupid. However a WL? revival would be cool; perhaps ABC Family can take it out of rerun rotation and instead of buying the syndication rights to 7th Heaven thay can make a new season of that.
Hm?

I am not surprised. Once a show comes to CC from another network, there is always a 99.9999999999999% chance it will be cancelled.

Whose Line was getting low ratings, and I guess people were tired of the fact that it pretty much became "The Ryan, Colin, Wayne and Drew Show With Special Guests".Whose Line got low ratings cause abc kept messing with the timeslot (but of coarse, any self-respecting network would refuse to believe that). Although, yes, many fans did get tired of the Wayne/Colin/Ryan team-up every episode. Greg Proops, Jeff Davis, Chip Esten, and Brad Sherwood were never able to work together except for live shows, and Green Screen.
However a WL? revival would be cool; perhaps ABC Family can take it out of rerun rotation and instead of buying the syndication rights to 7th Heaven thay can make a new season of that.
Hm?Well, technically abc family has been airing new episodes, however they've been unaired material from past tapings.

I didn't even know CC had picked up other episodes. But I concur that the lack of the need for imagintion takes a lot away from the improv. It was countered, somewhat, by seeing new combinations of performers.
I wonder what Drew might be concocting. When WL left ABC, I was thinking a new version -- with many new performers mixed in with the vets -- could work on CC. (Rights to the "WLiiA" might be a problem from Disney)
I could even see Ryan Stiles taking over the hosting role. It would reduce the wear on his back and he could still play one game a show.

(Rights to the "WLiiA" might be a problem from Disney)Disney doesn't own Whose Line?, Hat Trick productions does, which is a company in England.

But Disney owns the U.S. rights to the show for a negotiated amount of time -- if only to show reruns on ABC Family.
Sure, Hat Trick would probably love to be free of that contract to at least have the option of negotiating a new deal with CC, TBS, whoever ... I just think Disney will do what it does best -- be hard-headed about it all.
