Surprised nobody has posted about this yet. From wwe.com:
Nick 'Eugene (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/eugene/)' Dinsmore was rushed to the hospital last night in Manchester.
He has since been released from the hospital, sent home and suspended indefinitely. WWE.com will have more details as they become available.
I believe this is perhaps the first time, the name "Nick Dinsmore" has been used by WWE regarding Eugene.
I guess most likely this was a drug incident. Sad but true. And I thought Eddie's death would be a wake-up call. It could also be a bar-fight, but I lean towards a drug theory.
The last thing the WWE needed was another drug controversy. Sadly, they were wrong.

Found this out via Meltzer's site. Very sad. Apparently, the pressure of playing the character 24/7 may've gotten to Dinsmore, after more than a year. Unfortunately, WWE isn't willing to divulge the bulk of the details at the moment, perhaps waiting until after the current tour to get a better handle on things.
That having been said, I believe they fumbled the ball on Eugene by not continuing to develop the character beyond his basic core (wrestling savant). He's this close to being reduced to a glorified mascot.
Let's say Eugene is gone for the rest of the year. Come January, we may have Nick Dinsmore return, with a haircut, say he's "Eugene"'s cousin, and they can say that the stress of living out his dream finally got to Eugene. But if "Uncle" Eric Bischoff thinks Nick will be on his side, he'd be sadly mistaken.
I dare Uncreative to screw this one up.

It's been said that WWE forces Dinsmore to be in character in public. If this is true, and if I was Dinsmore, I'd say "Eff the WWE" and look for a contract somewhere else.
I would hate to be in character out in public.

I do think that the "Eugene" character is a bit played out. I think the WWe should keep him out of the spotlight for a while and bring him back as a new character, under a new name or his own.
But I do want the WWe to release why he was hospitalize and suspended.. The suspense is terrible!

Well this is certainly disconcerning. I think WWE.com may have jumped the gun by letting this out. It's not as if Eugene was having a big impact as of late. When Eddie had his big drug crash in June of 2001 he was pretty much just fired and no mention was ever made of it. He'd been hanging with the Hardyz and making Matt uncomfortable about the way Latino Heat acted around Lita and then he was suddenly gone.
I don't find it surprising that Dinsmore was suspended after he was released from the hospital. But the .com article makes it sound so "official" which is no doubt Johnny Ace's doing. Realistically they want Nick to get the help he needs in hope he can return to the roster. WWE does not always appear in the greatest light, but previous situations indicate that their biggest concern right now is that Nick Dinsmore gets cleaned up and gets his life back on track.
I believe this is perhaps the first time, the name "Nick Dinsmore" has been used by WWE regarding Eugene.Nick, yes. Dinsmore, no. While it was never officially part of his name, in his TV debut he was referred to as Eugene Dinsmore and "Uncle" Eric has referred to his sister as Mrs. Dinsmore on at least one occasion.

Here's an update on Mr. Dinsmore from Dave Meltzer:
Any stories that Nick Dinsmore was involved in a bar fight or it had anything to do with his suspension are untrue. Dinsmore passed out and was hospitalized after the show in Manchester. He was sent home after being released from the hospital, and has been suspended. No decision has been made regarding his future with the company.
Looks like an OD.

Seems like he OD'd on something like Juventud Guerrera did a few years back.

You know they will.
Honestly, if Dinsmore does come back, it's pretty obvious that no punishment would be equivalent than playing Eugene.

Here's the details on Nick's incident from wwe.com:
Last week in Manchester, England, Nick “Eugene (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/eugene/)” Dinsmore was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital after he was found passed out in a hotel lobby.
After regaining consciousness, Dinsmore admitting to taking Somas and other prescription medication. As a result of the incident, he was sent home from the WWE International tour and suspended indefinitely.
Since returning home, Dinsmore has agreed to seek professional help. He flew to an undisclosed location, where he will spend the next two weeks being evaluated at a drug rehabilitation facility.
I guess that means we could see Nick once again in the WWE. And it looked like he did OD on Prescriptions.
Maybe this is the end of the Eugene character.

Maybe this is the end of the Eugene character.
I hope so. Dinsmore should team up with Conway again, and then there would be a respectable tag team once again.

Wow, could this have happened to any less appropriate character? Obviously I know Nick Disnmore is really just another athlete dude, but it's still sort of ironic.
