I agree. But, a news report also on www.tvshowsondvd.com (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com) from a few days ago said it is coming next year.
Here is the link to the info (& Batman Beyond too)..

Thanks to those who bought the singles...
Even though I didn't pick up the singles, I'm sure extatic about this. I'll be picking this up. Here's to hoping for a Season 2 soon enough.
And, if I'm not mistaken, that blue "DC Comics Kids Collection" banner still stands... I guess they don't mind selling season sets to kids nowadays. Still very extatic, though.

As I posted in the DC Animated DVD thread, this is just REALLY great news. I've become a real fan of The Batman; The Batman vs. Dracula is a stunning example of what this show can be at its best -- in terms of writing as well as the always-lovely animation -- and it is frankly right there at the top of my list of the finest feature-length animated Batman films EVER (which, I know, is probably not a popular opinion).
I'm delighted to see The Batman getting a better treatment than those 3-episode single-disc releases.
I'll certainly be picking this set up.

Nice. Kinda divided on this, as even with the low price the first season of The Batman still sucked. Hopefully I'll have made a decision by the time the sets released.

I couldn't bring myself to pick up the singles, but this season set sounds nice. Definatly will pick it up.
As for JL/U, it's in the pipeline. Just remember they are going in a semblance of order.
So, after they finish BTAS this December, I'm sure next year they'll start either Batman Beyond or Justice League. And then which ever isn't started after Batman will start after Superman is finished next Summer.

I haven't bought any singles. This announcement shocks me for some reason.
TV Shows on DVD seems to be reporting a lot of almost-to-good-to-be-true stuff lately.

I know this is the DVD board, but I must send you to the DC Animated Universe DVD Talkback. This post (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?p=1973697#post1973697) addresses the news. The "What about JL?" question has been asked there too. No sense in double talking, thread closed.
