Snark Weighs In tipped me that there was a new opening titles for the CBS soap Guiding Light. In fact, you can check it out on WoST.org (http://www.wost.org) (World of Soap Themes) right now (along with an absolutely pristine 1981 opening title sequence to Another World, plus the "Stay tuned for the next part" bumpers and closing credits!).

But let's just focus on the new opening titles to GL. Rate 'em.

The 1967 Another World opening has got to be the best soap opera opening of all time, even though the music they were using in 81 doesn't work at all.

Personally, I've always been a fan of the early 90's All My Children theme.

I've only seen one soap in my life, "Passions" back in its "Evil Charity" days. Once Charity left, I stopped watching.
