Lots of animated releases to rattle off this week. First up is Madagascar, which is making its way from theaters to DVD. There are also two volumes of the animated King Kong from the mid-'60s, an initial Huckleberry Hound volume, Spongebob Squarepants: Where's Gary?, the third season of Home Movies, the fourth season of The Flintstones, and the complete runs of The Yogi Bear Show and Peacemaker.

Naturally, there are plenty of other TV-on-DVD releases to mention: the first seasons of Fantasy Island and Stargate: Atlantis, the second seasons of Scrubs and Tru Calling, the third seasons of Charmed and That '70s Show, the fourth season of The Man Show, the fifth season of Three's Company, the seventh seasons of Cheers and Frasier, and the tenth season of Friends. To rattle off a couple of miscellaneous releases, there's a 'Lifetime Portrait Series' of The Golden Girls and a 20th anniversary set of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Completists might be interested in full box sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (40 discs), Frasier (32 discs), Friends (40 discs), Star Trek (every movie, every TV show, on 212 discs!), and a Haroly Lloyd Comedy Collection set.

That's most of this week's stuff, actually. There are a few other theatrical releases to mention -- The Skeleton Key, Stealth, and the limited release Happy Endings. Jane Goodall's documentary Return to Gombe. A few catalog titles (mostly comedies): The Heavenly Kid, Love at Stake, O.C. and Stiggs, Pray TV, and Rikky and Pete. A few reissues, including a 40th anniversary edition of The Sound of Music, a 50th anniversary edition of Oklahoma!, and a 60th anniversary edition of State Fair. There's also an Old Yeller two-movie set.

For a list of some of the best prices as well as the latest price drops for existing titles, check Mike Frezon's weekly thread on the Home Theater Forum (http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=245753) and SalesCircular.com (http://www.salescircular.com/). A relatively comprehensive list of this week's releases can be found at DVD Talk (http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/bargain.php) and ComingSoon.net (http://www.comingsoon.net/dvd/).

So -- what are you getting this week? I spent a couple hundred bucks at Deep Discount DVD last week, that covers me for a long, long time.

Got the Bret Hart set and finally decided to pick up the Eddie Guerrero set.

And what, pray tell, does a 212-DVD set look like exactly?

Already ordered Huckleberry Hound Season 1 and Yogi Bear: The Complete Series. They arrived and are great--the shorts are awesome, and I love the classic commercials that used the show to advertise the product (Too bad shows don't do that now!). :anime:

I also ordered the second volume of the cute-and-funny anime, Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat! :)

I knew about Buffy, saw Friends at Wal-Mart, but the Star Trek and Frasier sets are news to me

Stargate Atlantis Season One. I liked the design of the box in comparison to the motif of the SG-1 sets and the idea of slim cases (let's face it, the SG-1 sets take up a lot of space).
