I think they considered Ashley for me.

I don't think my folks had any doubt I was going to be a girl, because I've never heard of a different name. All I know is that my dad named me, and my middle name is after my aunt.
My sister closest to me in age was almost named after my father, though.

I would have been named Ruth.

I would have had my sister's name: Allison

For some odd reason I have yet to interrogate my parents about my name. I suspect they put little effort into naming their children. A book of baby names I found in my house had my name as the example for boys and my sister's name as the example for girls on the back cover. :p

I don't remember what my mom said she would have named me if I was a boy, but my little brother Alex was supposed to be Alexandra Rose, instead of Alexander Christopher. Anytime I am mad at him, I call him Alexandra Rose! :)

I would have been "Holly," middle name "Heather."
They're both generic but I like Heather better than Holly. Of course, I'm a GUY and Heather is a sexier name, so I would....

If I were born a girl,my mom would have named me Nicole. I actually lost some respect for you there, SEG.
Me? I dunno, Christine, Christina (AKA 90'sCartoonwoman), most likely...
but my little brother Alex was supposed to be Alexandra Rose, instead of Alexander Christopher Or maybe I'd be Rose. Heh, yeah, I could be Rose.

Rose is a great name...
But considering I got named Chris, which I've expressed my hating of, I'd probably be named something equally as worse with my luck. Maybe Danielle? Eeegghhh. Commence hating of my luck. x_x

If I was born the opposite gender..
Eh...I would be Eddie...
...the fifth.
My original name used to be Anastasia or something similar but my dad quickly put a end to that idea. Thank god.

Sadly, my parents actually thought I was going to be a girl, so they had the name "Jessica" picked out for me.

Probably after my grandmother Lucille. I've never asked, and frankly I don't want to. That's just a prediction I made.

If it was the feminine version of my real name
There would be unforgiveable shame, because how the name sounds is grating

I guess if I was a girl I would probably be doing something different with my hair.
I could see going through a phase where I had curls. But that would probably get to be a pain to keep up.
And then there are my nails.
I may have to do something with my cuticles, although I have absolutely no idea what there is to do with them except leave them alone.
I don't think it would affect how often I floss. Good dental hygiene is a must no matter if you're a boy or a girl.
I'm not sure if I would be using different swear words.
Oh, wait......
This is about names....
My parents were pretty careful about not handing out name that were trendy or weird. They probably would have gone with something like Jennifer or Ann.

I think my parents knew I was a boy before they named me, but considering they gave me my grandfathers' first names for my first and middle name, if I was a girl I probably would have my grandmothers' names instead. So... Mildred Carryl or Carryl Mildred might have been my first and middle names.

I was to be named John Paul -- after the Pope as well as my dad's middle name combined with my grandfather's name. My grandfather, however, wanted me named Vlodomyr...which I actually think is cooler. :D

I would have likely been named Michelle - that was the name given to my sister (born two years after me); my middle name would have likely been Jacqueline, after my mom's first name.
I like Tim just fine though. Short, sweet, to the point, and it's an acronym for "The Incredible Machine". :)

lol.
I honestly have no idea what they would have named me. My father named me quite hastily because of the circumstances of the time and that too without consulting my mom.But I like my name...no idea what I would have prefered for a named had I been born the opposite sex...

I would be named, "Coral."

I would probably be named after my great aunt because my name is after my great uncle...So I would be named "Samantha".... Happy I'm a dude...
I dunno. Knowing my mom (she named my brother after one of the Archangels), I probably would have been Gabriel or Raphael.
Then again, my parents never really did tell me if they had any male names saved if I was born a guy.
My name would be Julio, like my Dad.
I'm glad I'm a girl :anime: .

Techinical Nitpick~
Should be Sex, not Gender.
Very few parents can determine one's gender at birth :)

Very few parents can determine one's gender at birth :)Ain't gender and sex the same, and "sexual orientation" the potential wildcard (I'm not siding on either side of THAT Iron Curtain fence)?

No, Sex is Psychial, Gender is the mindset. Its the Mix-Matching that causes Transgenderism.

According to my parents, if I had been a girl, my name would have been Jessica Marie.

An alternate name was never considered for either me or my my younger brother Dan.
However, my youngest bro's possible female names included Alicia and Alexis.

-Humble At least they got a book, I got mine because it's what my Grandmother wanted. Beyond that I never heard any other consideration, I was an unexpected accident after the first stillborn. (I got that little tidbit during a big fight about homework) Most likely Sharon Ann, that would really **** my sister off if she got Scott :D

Christian Elliot,I believe.I only remember it because of the cabbage patch doll by the same name.
It's an okay name, but not great.I'd rather it have been William or something,'cause I've always liked that name.

[No, Sex is Psychial, Gender is the mindset.
Yeah I agree. Although I'm completely girly on the outside, I'm definately gender queer in the mind.
I think I woulda been called Tomi according to my mom.
