With the new DVD out and me considering a purchase because it's only $14 on Amazon, I need someone who has the DVD to answer me these Questions: (Note: I have never seen the movie, but am interested because Mike Judge made it)
1. How is the humor compared to Beavis and Butt-head?
2. How is the humor compared to King of the Hill?
3. Do you have to have an office job to appreciate it?
4. How are the Features?
5. How much rewatch value does it have?
Thanks in advance.

1) Humor better than B&B.
2) Just as realistic, but more thought out than KotH.
3) Nope, but almost everyone I've talked to can relate to that.
4) Crappy and bare bones. The re-release just inserted crap you could get at Hot Topic. No commentary whatsoever. Mike Judge didn't even put the Milton short on the DVD. The very cartoon that started the idea for the movie.
5) If I had the time, I'd watch it once a week. Office Space is one of the funniest movies ever.

Yeah, the movie definitely has a high rewatch factor. There was a period a few years ago when it seemed like I watched it once every two weeks (of course, it helped that Comedy Central aired it like CRAZY).
And yeah, the S.E. With Flair! was disappointing. The documentary was fun to watch, but mostly fluff and offered few behind-the-scenes moments. And yeah, there should have been the Milton shorts in their entirety. It's better than the original bare bones release, but not by much.

Wasn't a there a sequel being thought of for Office Space? I thought I remember reading somewhere where they were considering it.

I've seen a few minutes of it here and there on TV. I must keep getting the worst scenes because I didn't find it very funny. The main character seemed like sort of a jerk.
If you're gonna buy it, why not get the deluxe edition from Best Buy? It's less than $25 and includes a mug, mousepad, and all sorts of other neat stuff.

its definately not a movie you can watch 3 minutes from and get a giggle, you need to watch it all. I enjoy it very much and can watch it many times if its on on tv. anyone that has a job can have fun with this movie, though if you work on a cubicle probably more.
I bought the deluxe edition, not sure if it was worth it or not, it looks nice(a cardboard "shelf" you can later use to store various dvds) but all it is a cup with the boss, a small mouse pad, magnet picture frame, 1 red pen and 1 red mechnical pencil, one red stapler. They all say "ofice space" more than one time if possible and "special edition dvd" if possible..its nice but they aren't that welldone and it cost me 10$ more than just the dvd.
still not sure if it was worth it or not, so don't take it as its not worth it.

Ok I got the Deluxe Edition from Best Buy and I never got a mug, mousepad, stapler, and other kinds of stuff.
(EDIT) I just saw IGN's review and saw that it came in a box set. I only saw the dvd at Best Buy.

Last week I didn't see any boxsets or displays! I can't belive that there would be none left at my Best Buy. I'm seriously kicking myself for not ordering it off Best Buy's website.
i didn't see it either on the "new releases" or the front table so i asked an employee and he brought me to the "old releases" section and there it was in all its glory, i think i was the first person to buy one...if people wanted the new release they wouldn't go back there anyways, and people that go back there didn't want office space, so i think BB lost a lot of potential buys by doing that.
if it makes you feel any better you can read my review of what i got on my post above, maybe you didn't want it anyways..

I think the humor mostly works if you've worked in an office environment that's less than stellar.

You mean there are office environments that aren't less than stellar?
Seriously though, I should really pick up this movie. I've worked in cubicles since 1999 and for a long time I've had people telling me that I really need to see this movie. I just never think to look for it in the stores, and when I do see it I usually have a couple other movies in my hand and decide to wait until some other time.
