Brettfern, you sure start a lot of polls. Do you really want to know the answers to these questions or do you just like polls? OR are you gathering marketing data in preparation for the release of an invention that will change our lives forever?

Wendy's tastes better (The new Bacon Mushroom Melt thinger is amazingly yummy), but Burger King has better commercials and toys.

There's really nothing good about McDonald's. Although I loved those chicken salads they had a while back. And I really miss when they had chili-cheese burgers, too. =(

I am a fan of McDonald's. I have a weakness for the deliciously grease-ified french fries. I know it sounds gross because of all of the grease, but it really isn't that bad. And I personally love their Big and Tasty's. That is my absolute FAVORITE meal in the entire world. When my mom tells me that she will take me to a fancy restaurant, I have to convince her that I would rather McDonald's. I also have taken a liking to their newer chicken nuggets. Before, they were made out of the nasty fake chicken which tasted really funky, but it is much better now with the white meat :)

I like Wendy's the best. I like their fries and hamburgers better than that of Burger King or McDonalds. I don't eat at Burger King too often and I haven't cared much for McDonalds since I was younger.

Dessert-wise, BK actually has those delicious shakes. It seems a couple times during the summer that those strawberry shakes had some weird ingredient in them. I had ordered a strawberry shake when I went to BK two times in one month and they probably ended up giving me a Strawberry Cheesecake shake rather than a regular strawberry shake since those Strawberry Cheesecake shakes were selling like crazy...

I went on their website and it seems that their locations of stores are limited nowadays. I just wish that SONIC would come up North...

I have had their food once and it was back in 1999 while I was vacationing in Florida for Spring Break (I go there every year). Although there are 5-10 of them in the Philly area, there are none in it's suburbs (where I live).

Here's another one I forgot about: Hardees. I looooove going to Hardees when I'm down South. I believe though there are several of them in York, PA (which is about 90 minutes from me). I like their 'Charbroiled' Burgers, their chicken nuggets, fries, hot dogs, etc. I also like their Kool Kids kids meal toys. Did anyone get their Shrek2 Christmas Ornaments (you know it had Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Puss-In-Boots) last year? I have two of them. They're having a Peanuts promotion this season. I wonder if they are going to be ornaments (even though I have Snoopy and Woodstock ornaments from the nearby Hallmark store).

Its a blizzard ripoff sure(I used to eat Blizzrds all the time before McDonald's made the McFlurry), but it tastes better to me. I still like the Blizzard though. But DQ is irrelevant for Burger places anyways.

Eibhlin
11-09-2005, 08:32 PM
The DQ Blizzards are simply awesome, I have to agree. Damn them for closing down here in my area. I'd love a M&M Blizzard or a dipped cone.

As for burger places, White Castle gets my vote. I miss them so bad. It's one of the reasons to go visit home, after seeing my mom and siblings, and going to the beach. I actually have pictures of my last visit to White Castle. ( I know, I'm completely pathetic.) The ones they sell in the supermarkets just don't taste the same as the fresh grilled burgers. The funny thing is, White Castle's first store was in Witchita, Kansas. Yet now there are no White Castles east of the Mississippi.
!

McDonalds has the best fries, Burger King has good breakfast sandwiches (if they actually cook the bacon, I hate rubbery bacon, ICK) Wendy's burgers are good. Their fries would be the best if they bothered to cook them just a little longer. They are too cold and usually limp.

Whataburger has okay food, but their burgers tend to sit on my stomach like a rock, which is why I never get them.

McDonald's has the dollar menu While the price is right, the food is trash. Spend twenty more cents and get a yummy, yummy bacon cheeseburger at Wendy's. It's a healthier burger too, 'cause it's got tomato and lettuce on it. Heh. Seriously though, the McChicken makes me sick when I eat it. Plus the act of eating it is all rubbery and blahhh. The double cheeseburgers are eh. Fries totally rock at McDonalds though.the McFlurry(which pwns all).
Only the Oreo one, and they don't put in enough Oreo. It's such a letdown.

Blessed are we in the South, for we have Sonic, the unquestionable king of the mass-market burger chains. Not only are the burgers good, but there's a decent selection of other stuff, like the toaster sandwiches and the wraps.

Plus, they don't skimp when it comes to the desert menu. It's about as large as the regular menu, and they make rock-solid slushes, shakes and sundaes. It'd still prefer a local eatery, but Sonic is great in a pinch.

Wendy's is by far the tastiest--the other two can't even come close. From frosties to the tastiest fries to chicken batter that's actually yummy, Dave Thomas knew his recipes well.

I never go to Burger King for a burger, and everything else there is horrid. McDonalds is even worse--I've been avoiding it for over a decade now, though I tried a bit of it once again last month, and found their food still tastes like the styrofoam it used to come in.

Whoever has the best toys at the time.

If all the fast food joints have stinky toys, then the choice is driven by how much money I have in my wallet. If it's under $3 (sadly, this is most of the time *sighs*) it's McDonalds or Wendys (whoever I'm closer to) for their value menu. If I have boku bucks (which for me, equals over $4 *sighs again louder, and looks pleadingly at you for donations*) it's Burger King.

As of late, I've been seeing McDonald's less and less. My family's dedicated to Burger King... sure, it's good, I know, but I want something else.

I'm sorry, but I've been eating McDonald's since a very young age... so, it's:

McDonalds: Their breakfast items are the best, followed by their premium Chicken Selects. Their fries; I grew up on those. So sue me.

Chick-fil-A: Their chicken sandwiches are delectable and their waffle fries are great! Started eating the stuff regularly in Morrow, and we realized how good it was.

Arby's: The original Roast Beef Sandwich. Curly Fries. Been eating Arby's since Huntsville.

Burger King: Their charbroiled burgers are good, their fries are crisp, their and breakfast items are, also (or, at least the ones I have eaten). Started eating BK regularly after moving to New Jersey.

On another note, I dug up some interesting information (about my affairs with these restaurants). The last time I had McDonald's was September 30, 2005 (or, somewhere around there). The last time I had Burger King... yesterday.

Mmmm, I love the smell of unwitting misinformation disseminated to the masses to be incorporated as conventional wisdom.

Tomato, to-mah-to (http://www.lycopene.org/)

Lycopene is a carotenoid that gives red color to various fruits and vegetables, tomatoes included. The benefits of processed tomatoes versus raw tomatoes have nothing to do with lycopene content in the tomato itself and everything to do with more efficient absorption of lycopene by the body. Lycopene is notable in and of itself because it doesn't easily degrade after being heated or processed, unlike a lot of other nutrients.

Btw, Hardee's and Carl's Jr. are pretty much the same thing and owned by the same parent company.

Best burgers ever: In-N-Out

Wendy's based on their spicy chicken sandwhich. God is that tasty!

But BK is a good place for straight burgers, and probably the best store overall, but they don't have anything that approaches the spicy chicken sandwhich in goodness.

For my side of the coin, since all three are locatred within 10 miles of my house, it depends on what mood I am in. If I go for a milkshake, go to McD's. Chicken sandwiches kick mucho butt at Burger King, and the burgers go to Wendy's. Fries are tied between McD's and Wendy's (they suck at Burger King, so much fat for so little taste, damn recipe revision of 1997). Wendy's gives you a lot of food compared to BK and McD's, and the single for Wendy's in weight is compared to a Double at McD's. Beware of Friday nights, where more often than not in my town, screw up 4 out of 5 orders.

Burger King, of those. Wendy's commits the cardinal sin of not offering a true double cheeseburger. They have a cheese double burger, but you need at least one slice of cheese for every patty. One slice for two patties...? Unacceptable! I'd only eat at a McDonald's if I were on a road trip and had no other alternative.

I'd pick Hardee's, Jack in the Box, or, depending on which side of the country I'm on, In-'n-Out. I'd really prefer to get a barbeque sandwich at one of the mom-and-pop joints, though.

Favorite cheeseburger around here is Five Guy's Famous Burgers and Fries (http://www.fiveguys.com/), although it's not "fast" food. In fact, they're so obsessed about freshness that they literally do not have a freezer in the restaurant.
