Sorry to see that Burton doesn't do a commentary because his commentaries are always so good. Oh, well. Maybe he's sick of them. He didn't do one for CATCF either. Liked the movie a lot, so I'll definitely picked this up. The extras don't look too bad.

This is probably a stupid question, but was "Corpse Bride" in widescreen when it was shown in theatres? I can't remember.

This is probably a stupid question, but was "Corpse Bride" in widescreen when it was shown in theatres? I can't remember.Yes. Very few theaters these days are equipped to show anything but widescreen movies. (That's why 1.33:1/1.37:1 movies like The Blair Witch Project and re-releases like The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind are pillarboxed in a widescreen frame on their release prints.) If it's gotten a theatrical release in the past 50 years or so, that's pretty much a 99.7% guarantee that it's widescreen.

I mean it wasnt that long ago when i saw WillyWonka and its now out..It's over 4 months between The Corpse Bride going wide theatrically and its DVD release. Just shy of 4 months for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A 4 month-give-or-take window has been pretty standard for several years now. (The window was closer to 6 months 5 or 6 years ago.)
