I just dropped the most I have on games at a single time in at least seven years, perhaps ever. They're in a package currently on the way from Karl (thanks Karl!!) are they are:

F.E.A.R. DVD Edition (because the idea of AIs outsmarting you by using the terrain is just too intriguing)
Fable: The Lost Chapters (because Lionhead is cool)
Civilization IV (duh)
Myst IV AND Myst V DVD Edition
Indigo Prophecy (because adventure gaming will rise again)

All are PC editions because PCs are better. And you can take that to the bank.

So now I have all the US NIS games released currently...sometimes browsing thrugh the Gamestop listings has it's advantages.

Eh, I tried both out at work, and I wasn't impressed. Legend of Heroes came off as too generic for me in both combat and story, and Kingdom of Paradise bored me after about 10 minutes.:shrug:First 10 minutes or so is the tutorial, you didn't get up to the assbeatery fightings. It's like The Bouncer with the Psycadelic characters taking out hundreds of nameless badguys in the name of salvation.

You're right on Legend of Heros it was designed exactly to be like that. It plays and feels like an old school RPG.

No One Lives Forever, PS2 version :shrug: (couldn't find any new/used regular or GOTY version for the PC :sad: ). My only real complaints about the PS2 version are the horrible save system and the glitchy targeting, I can live with everything else.

I also got my free Dragon Quest VIII Demo Disc in the mail Monday and I've been playing it. I was really on the fence about this game since I had never played any of the previous ones. I've decided I'll get the full game later on when I have the money.

Like I previously said, November is a very expensive month. I've picked up WWE Smackdown! vs. RAW 2006. I have also gotten Mario Kart DS and Need for Speed Most Wanted (Xbox) for free as either a review copy or from work.

And then of course the Xbox 360, I had to buy a core system since I was on the second shipment for premium and I don't really want to wait 5 or more weeks for it. So here is my 360 haul this month.

- Xbox 360 20 GB HDD (I find the HDD the day after I buy the memory card go figure)
