My word this guy needs to get off his high horse. Calling the importation of mature video games a version of Pearl Harbor is going way too far. Though I must say the Japanese do have far too many well... porn games. But they aren't imported by major companies here. What we do get I find typically acceptable material there are rare cases in which I would deem a game in very bad taste but in the America there really aren't that many extremely innapropriate games depending on how you look at this.

He backs up this discourse towards Japan by saying Sony is a Japanese company? Sony themselves don't release raunchy titles. They release edgy ones but not raunchy. Can't speak for Japanese only games I suppose but in America Sony doesn't release many M games, mostly T rated games actually.

Seriously though... Why on earth is he even doing this? His 15 minutes of fame? Violent video games very very very rarely cause any problems in America and it should be up to the parents to decide what kids can or cannot play or watch. The games have ratings, what more can you ask for? He's acting like we have next to nothing but raunchy games. That's hardly the case. The majority of consoles games are rated E or T. M games are in the minority in comparrison and you can't buy an AO game in any retail store.

And how the heck is Japan supposed to be responsible for the actions Sony of America, the US government, and Rockstar/Take-Two? How exactly does he propose that Sony of Japan and the Japanese government ban the sale of the stuff in the US when not only did they not create it, but Sony Japan could have easily passed on the license to sell it completely in Japan the same Sony America could have.

If you're going after the PLAYERS of this "hyperviolent/pornographic" media, then you're going to have to drag in all the DVD player makers and VCR makers, not to even mention the other game consoles. Since PCs and internet servers hold oodles of it, you need to pull all of them into this, too...it's just INSANE.

Going after the people that make the players of the media you object to just doesn't make sense...it's the people that created the media in question that you have issues with.

What little credibility he did have is swirling away faster than a dead goldfish down a flushing toilet thanks to his racial comments and his utterly reprehensible comparison to the attack of Pearl Harbor.

We shouldn't ask for his expulsion from the legal system though...as Penny Arcade pointed out, he might get replaced by someone sane and/or competent, that might actually pose a reasonable threat or argument against videogames.

Plus, Insaney Van Whackjob is great for a laugh.
