Anyone else play these two?
I just beat "Oogie's Revenge" (for the PS2, XBOX) and I was impressed. One of the designers came to work on the game, Dean Taylor, as well as the original speaking voices of Jack, Oogie, the elder witch, and maybe some other background characters. It's like "Devil May Cry" (or so people say) and a mix of some Parappa Rappa/Guitaru Man. The biggest appeal to me are the graphics (Jack running around in the cemetary area at night is breathtaking-- on the Xbox anyway) and songs. And slapping skeletons with goo has its perks, too.
I'm currently playing "Pumpkin King" now for the GBA and ... it's a little painful. I bought it because I'm a fan and wanted to see how Jack became the Pumpkin King. The intro was funny but so far it's been a little skimpy with details. I'm not having fun playing it at all, it's a very very hard 2D side scroller. I only recommend this game to hardcore fans of the movie, masochists, and fans of scrollers.
