In this month's trivia section, one of the questions is "Which move did Meowth forget in exchange for the ability to speak to humans?" or something like that, but I know it had to do with forgetting a move. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that he learned to speak himself, and didn't forget any moves in the process. Am I correct?

He sacraficed the move Pay Day (which was explained way back in the Orange Islands) in order to learn how to speak to humans. Because he spent so much brainpower to learn how to talk, he cannot learn any more new techniques ever.

that was a real sad episode too, well at least in my eyes ;)

but that quiz on NP was actually pretty hard in some questions, maybe not hard but just obscure., the questions didn't seem ocnsistent.

I'm still moody that they took off the Poke Center, its "replacement" and other Pokemon articles is not the same.

I just remember the one where he taught himself to talk to impress the female Meowth, but then they all turned on him for trying to become human. I don't recall anything about learning or forgetting moves.

I don't recall anything about learning or forgetting moves. It was in the Orange Islands, where Meowth became a deity and basically "threw away" Jessie & James. Then it was revealed that Meowth was supposed to use Pay Day to make the island's people rich, but Meowth revealed that he used up all his brainpower learning how to talk, so he cannot learn Pay Day, and by extension, any other new attacks.

Thanks for clearing it up.

And yes, that was a sad episode. One of the only 2 Pokemon episodes that actually made me cry (the other was obviously Pikachu's Goodbye, but I don't think there was a dry eye from anyone who watched that episode).

The only episode I think I've ever cried during was that one where Butterfree left (cried for an entire hour too...).
