A slight game dilemma...

Ok, I have a dilemma and I have no idea what to do.

Since it's nearing Christmas time and sometimes things run out of stock, I've decided to get a DS now. The thing is, I can get it from about 3 places:

Circuit City (CC)
Post Exchange [military base] (PE)
Best Buy (BB)

BB and CC carry the DSs in mass stocks [as so I've seen] and PE does too. However, BB and CC has tax, and PE doesn't. From PE, I can get the DS at a flat price of 129.00 but they have ran out of stock [in fact I've called them a few minutes ago and they didn't have them in] and the next shipment is Friday. :shrug:

...I could get the DS from BB or CC but, I'd have to pay with tax which bumps the price up to 139 [and be broke at the same time.] :(

Should I:

A) get it now
b) save some more
c) go to PE to get it when it becomes available

It all depends on a multitude of factors. If the tax will bump it up about $10, and that'll break you - it doesn't seem like you'll be able to buy a game even if you get it tax free at $129.99.

If you wait until the PE gets it in stock, you can potentially save more money in that time period and then buy a game? Also, if you're looking for one of the newer color models, you have to take into account the avilability at the tax free place compared to the big chain stores.

Also, you may be able to find a bundle of some sorts, but that'll cost more $$$, which seems to be limited in this situation.

Final Analysis: I say wait. Holiday shopping season really doesn't go into full rush until after Thanksgiving. Waiting a couple of weeks won't hurt you in buying a DS. A mixture of B and C. Save more money and then buy it tax free so you can get a game.

there is a limited edition Mario Kart DS system red and white colored and other MK themed things, it will retail at 149.99 which you still save money if you intended on buying a game and MK is one of the games to have.

That's probably where I messed up the most but my area doesn't carry much games, so I got them so I don't have to worry about them running out [TC:UtK and PW:AA] that and I needed something lengthy for my upcoming trip to New York and Philly.

But, my mom reported that PE won't get them in till next week; every time that they do have it in, they run out of stock within the day. I can't reach there in the mornings, my dad has been able to go there but, like I said, they don't have any in. [but lots of PSPs...] CC and BB I haven't heard such a thing. Maybe this Saturday, bright and early, I can catch a break [and be broke with 7 dollars left until the trip].

EDIT: Maybe I can get a used DS for 99 bucks.
