You know, I realize mistakes happen at places so I don't hold fast food clerks to the high standard it seems some people hold them to, but you gotta admit whether you work in it or not, it's damned annoying to get your food and open the bag only to find somebody else's order got mixed up with yours. Luckilly, it only happened to me once, but if it happened more than that, I would not go back to that place.

I've been to Disneyland. I've seen the big clock-tower-thingie. Heck, I've been on the ride. And let me tell you, it is the FREAKIEST thing you ever would see! Uh, you ever will see. You ever---aw, scratch it. {ARGH! GEEZ, PEOPLE, WE SHOULD KNOW THIS BY NOW!!} Anyway, the kids have little plastic smiles framed on their faces. Oh sure, most people think they're innocent.......can't these people see it?! Can't they see the EVIL in their eyes! They're evil! *EVIL*! They'll take over the world and abolish all the anvils! *EVIL*!


Meanwhile, every time we go back there, my sister acts like a zombie, just for the small yet satisfying pleasure she derives from scaring me to death. (Thank goodness not *real* death.....they probably have those things in heck...) I once actually had a dream....

Those "kids" are evil, aren't they? I was very small when I went on that ride...looking back, that's probably what ruined my life...hrm...it wouldn't surprise me.

Personally, I don't think having one thread, where you just speak you mind (assuming you aren't attacking anyone, being hateful, etc) is a bad thing...

Furthermore, so long as it's contained to one thread, those that doen't like it could easily avoid it...

If the topic of this thread is to be off topic, then I am just going to sit back and count the minutes before it's closed.

The problem with it, which I will just state before it's too late, is there was this monster of a thread that was meant to be never ending. It's purpose was to be off topic, and to be there in the event somebody had something to share and it didn't fit in anywhere else, AND they had participated in all the other threads FIRST. It started out well, but in the last days of that thread, it gained about 5 pages a day, if not more, and was impossible to moderate.

You got something "off topic" to share? Start a new thread. This one can't be here.

The reason we shut down "The Neverending Post" was because there were too many new posts each day to keep up with. We like to keep on top of threads so that we can put out any flame wars before they erupt. When a thread attracts more than 60 posts a day, that becomes impossible. There is just too much time and opportunity for people to say things that can be misconstrued before a mod can come along and try to avert disaster.

Define "on topic"? Well, you defined it as "things that make you go 'wow'." Since even you as the topic starter can't keep that straight, there's no reason to think others will too.

The thread is now closed. Any similar thread that starts with the same intent as this one--to be an "off topic" thread--will meet the same fate.
