For some reason I was thinking about the movie Independence Day. And what would happen if they did not have a ship to foil the aliens plan to take over earth and distroy everything.

Here is my Story and question.

The aliens with out interference of the humans have taken over earth and started distroying everything in sight and Killing every body. You and your friends start a resistance and your options are verry low. But luck is on your side. Yumi is in your resistance. She tells about a Hidden computer lab Where she used to go to school that is currently sutdown. She explains why it's shutdown and all the risks you will be takeing tring to form an alience with a age old villan she battled for years. You all agree to see it. You as the resistance leader with the new information and a new posible member in your resistance "X.A.N.A." You know the risk you are takeing reactavateing X.A.N.A. Would you form an alience with Xana as a last resort to save the earth?

Sounds a tiny bit like the situation in Matrix Revolutions. Working with the "god" machine to take out the Uber Agent Smith.

ok at first i was going to say no........work with xana? you have to be kidding.........then i thought "to save the earth" everything would die if i didn't take a chance. it would be all my fault. so i said yes. this sort of sounds like the 2nd and 3rd season of reboot. when bob and the others team up with megabyte to save mainframe from the web. but he double crossed them which threw the enitire city into a violent war that destoryed everything. so in the end of course xana would find a way to double cross us after the world was out of danger...

oyu know i was thinking about this a few weeks ago...but reboot and code lyoko are extremely similar in the story and stuff. just hear me out. i know they don't seem alike. but think about it. i could fill up a whole page just talking about the similarites of this show. but i won't maybe in like month when i get aound to it i will make a thread about it. but you know reboot is a canadian show and code lyoko is french.....and what country founded canada? france. they are one in the same. it's just the characters are so much alike and there are alot of similar stuff between the two shows. not only that how many shows deal with being in a computer in a 3d virtual world? um i can think of 2.

I don't know that much about Canada but I think only Quebec is French. The rest of it was a British colony and they still have the Queen's image on the money.

We just saw "Judex", a 12 ep French serial from 1917. In it they showed the hero's HQ in the ruins of the Chateau Rouge on the Seine River. In the distance was the island which would become the Renault factory used in Code Lyoko.

It was a good b/w pix of the island which was heavily wooded at that time. The show was on Turner Classic Movies (Ch 71 on Comcast) at 12 M ET Sunday Night/Early Monday AM. The DVD is available from TCM.com and shows archival footage of the Mediterranean area of France including the Riviera. The college bldg can be seen in a few shots as well.

Hopefully this won't get stuffed into another thread and lost. That is one of my main annoyances with TZ, the mods' constant need to "clean up". I'm a member of dozens of forums and have never seen such obsessive compulsive behavior. It isn't like they're losing any massive amounts of memory since 99% of the stuff here is text. And I don't think anyone really "gets confused" by seeing multiple messages. Anyone who does is either too young or too old to be messing with computer and the internet.

Having been to many boards, and have seen the good, the bad and the absurd, most everyone is friendly here, and this is probably the second largest English CL communities,,,, and reasonably run.

The Talkbacks are a better place to start.

Of cource we love it, Just look at CL FanClub v1, v2, v3, v4. That should give you the idea behind the fan base we have here. people join TZ just because of this show its that good.

Beside's shows like Reboot and The Big O, this is one of the smartest shows I have ever seen in my entire life. The animation is excellent, with major anime influences (which is why this is classified as an anime in most sites i've been to), and a confusing, but addicting storyline. If there wasn't so much mystery to this show, than I don't think it would be so good, and I think it will only get better from here. I hope this show is around for quite a while....:D

Smart? I've seen that word here a few times now and I don't entirely agree. I can poke a few holes in the story and the animation, but I see these stemming more from the fact that CL is different. It's very new and is still adapting the story, almost without a clear view of where it's going, and blend two different animation types being done at different studios.

However, it is such a unique story, with amazing animation and very personable and exciting characters, it shouldn't be ignored, anf never missed.

Anime? Now that will trigger arguments anywhere you go. I see an anime influence in the 2d animation and character gestures. As this was a show originally made for export to major animation market countries like the U.S. and Japan, I believe Anime was the starting point. It does lack the many of the expressions that are exclusively Anime.

I don't like whole "lesser of two evils". Its a dillema, I will not choose to work with a malisious virus. I remamber SkyNet, and it forced the Military to unlock its power so it can save the web from a diferent viral threat, which was SkyNet one and the same.

About the reruns I will be able to confirm it tomorow (technicaly today after 12:00am.) My cable tv guide gives me the guide one week ahead, so I can see til Sunday now, tomorow (after 12) I will see Monday. It shows the name and descreiption of the episode, and its never wrong. The show is different, and I think it's smart in that it has good ideas; not every show is perfect, ya know. As for it being classified as an anime, not every anime has it's "quirks" that we are used to seeing, and the word "anime" is actually French.

I have very bad news, Monday 10th, reruns begin, It will be New Order, first episode of the second season. It is official and it is confirmed. :mad: This is a very bad news for all of us Lyokophiles. But there is good news, that means we can catch up on the episodes we missed and rewatch the ones we realy liked so much. I just hope that they will rerun it only once. Actualy it makes sence. They can't showw all new episodes and the season is over prematurely. They have to be in sync with the Fall schedule and they need to drag in longer, so reruns are the only option.

If XANA was the only thing strong enough to take down the aliens, I would take the chance, because then it wouldn't have the chance to save itself. Also, just off the top of my head, if Alieta had a brother, what do you think he might look like? And does anybody think Jeremy should shut down XANA for good? Because then the show would be over, unless there's more to what they're showing. It gets me thinking.
