Mentok's origin was funny

as was the rest of the episode

This was really weak for a Birdman episode, it was dry and poorly paced. I didn't laugh enough.

Parts that did make me laugh: Mentok's hand farts, The third leg, Momtok!, and random Lobster eating.

3/5

The video quality has improved completely since last week's deinterlacing fest. It's now up to the standard set by the Volume 1 dvd transfer.

Bridman? Teehee.

Birdman's been on a roll lately but this episode didn't do much for me. A Mentok episode sounds like a good idea, but since most of the interaction was between him and Spyro there wasn't much funny dialogue. Plus Gigi was in the episode, and anything with her sucks. Maybe if they reduced that plot and made more out of the Top Cat plot it could have went somewhere funnier.

A couple things I noticed, this episode was animated in Canada at Bardel Entertainment, instead of by the usual team at Turner Studios in Atlanta. Also, season 1 director and current Teen Titans director/storyboard artist Ben Jones storyboarded this episode.

LOL! Mentok Superman Parody!Yup. I know that was the real joke, but I was laughing at a lobster. That's it. a Lobster. Curse my strange sense of humor.

Anyway, That was nowhere near last week's Justice League parody.

They must really be into DC stuff at the moment.

I thought this was a good episode. Granted, it's not as brilliant as last week's excellent episode, but still very funny. Any episode with more Mentok is great in my book. Loved the Superman movie parody.

The Top Cat case didn't go anywhere, but I like these episodes that are focused more on characters than the cases themselves.

You know what they say about single guys with two cats?

I liked this episode alot. Maybe even more than last weeks. So, I seem to be in the minority.

Loved The Third Leg, Mentok's parent's, and the stuff with T.C. and the gang. I thought the stuff with T.C. and the gang could've been it's own seperate episode, but the stuff with Mentok couldn't've worked alone. So, I'll take what I can get. My opinion: *****

I liked this episode alot. Maybe even more than last weeks. So, I seem to be in the minority.Agreed. Being a Mentok-centered episode was great since I <3 Mentok, but I think what I really loved about this episode was the fact that it didn't have any reused phrases, i.e. Did you get that thing I sent you? That, and Gigi not being a b*tch to Harvey for once was refreshing as well. Also, bringing the focus back to old Hanna Barbera characters having generic reasons for being arrested as opposed to wedging current constitutional issues into the cases I liked as well.

In summation, this episode was a breath of fresh air in more ways than one.

The second third leg joke of the season, and that one happens to be just as great. Surprisingly enough Top Cat didn't get any different in behavior after his neutrering experience.

Mentok was great, as always. I did notice that lobster in the earlier origin of Mentok, I have no idea what the deal with that was. Did anyone see that film that was on the drive-in screen? That was the same thing two times.

I'm sick of Mentok and never liked Gigi so this one wasn't so great to me. the mindswapping was good at first but he did to much of it. Momtok and Dadtok were funny and so was the lobster :p the bird & cat interactions was a good joke to. no hippo gives the episode a plus as well

Caught this one on Friday and on Sunday. It was a very funny episode. Mentok had me laughing like crazy having to take care of Spyro as a 4-year old and a dog. :) G.G. is such a floozy but she always makes me laugh. Also, the guy who did Top Cat's voice in this episode did a great job.

The movie Mentok and Gigi saw was the same one Phil took his daughter to see.

Also, no comments on Frida Kahlow? I thought we were cultured here.

Meh. Surprisingly weak. I didn't really know what the heck was going on with the Top Cat subplot, so it should have stuck with a Mentok-centered story.

Wait, I think Mentok's dad was supposed to be Marlin Brando

The episode was good, but it felt like they just had no idea where they were going with the Top Cat subplot. This is why I hate that every show seems to need a 'B' or even 'C' plot when just having one story will work perfectly fine.
