Of stuff that's still currently in production, Venture Brothers wins, though ATHF could regain the title if the next season rocks.

My unequivocal favorite among all series aired past and present is The Venture Brothers, which I laud for its cleverness, strong storytelling, and visual presentation. The show's qualities are quite impressive considering its limited staff and contrained budget.

Chalk one more up for The Venture Brothers, hands down the most clever show currently on Adult Swim. The runner-ups would include ATHF, SGC2C, and Mission Hill.

In the anime department: FLCL, Big O Season 1, GitS: SAC, and Champloo.

You're the first person ive met that liked the earlier seasons of Home Movies better! :pThe humor just seemed to be a bit more spontaneous then, IMO. That, and no Fenton in the first season.:D

My favorite always has been and will more than likely always remain Cowboy Bebop. It's such a dead-on and charming series, perfectly incorporating pop culture, action, comedy and drama, with quite possibly the most likeable anime cast ever. It's a triumph.

Second to that would be Home Movies, which has its own quirky and unique style. ATHF, Futurama, Ghost in the Shell, and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast are also personal favorites.

Overall/In General:

Comedy: Home Movies, Space Ghost, ATHF, Venture Brothers, Mission Hill, Tom Goes to the Mayor, Futurama, Family Guy, early Sealab (despite the show's later flaws the first season is still pretty good)

Action: Bebop, FLCL, Paranoia Agent, Lupin III

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast is unquestionably my favorite comedy series. None of the others have even come close for me. Not even remotely close.
I really don't care for the Williams Street original creations outside of SGC2C and Cartoon Planet.

None of the action shows have really connected with me since The Big O, so that's the only viable contender.

Space Ghost and The Big O.

Fullmetal Alchemist for me.

Single favorite anime: Inuyasha (Still enjoyable after all these years.)

Single Favorite comedy: ATHF (Still the funniest thing Williams Street has ever done, and I hope they'll be doing a lot more of it.)

Runners Up: The entire Saturday anime lineup, Tom, Family Guy, American Dad.

Btw, True Noir, I also liked Pilot Candidate and was sorry the story never got finished. (^_*)

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: So absurd and "out there", yet that is the brilliance of it. Master Shake is one of the all-time great characters in any medium, anywhere:shake:

The Venture Brothers: A friend of mine turned me on to this about eight months ago, and I am very pleased he did. Any show that features that vocal talents of Patrick Warburton automatically has a leg up on the competition. VB pulls from many diiferent directions, but it comes together so well.
