Earlier this week we had try-outs for my school play (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and as I had done 2 middle school plays and got very good parts in both I tried out. There were about 20 guys trying out for various parts. Now keep in mind that there are only about 11 good parts in this play, and so I wanted Mike Teavee. Friday I got my papers, and I got him! I was so happy I ran through the school yelling "YES" and I got made fun of lol. I just felt like expressing my joy to all you beloved tzers

Good for year. My school did school plays twice a year, and I got cheated out of parts in them from Kindergarten to 6th grade out of pure nepitism. Bastards.
Ofcourse, I got my ultimate revenge. See, the kids who got those parts instead of me, by highschool every one of them had some crap no-account garage band that they were entering in the High School's first annual talent show, thinking they'd take home the title. Ofcourse, I entered on a stand up routine and beat each and every one of those punks by getting first place! Take THAT! In crowd!
Oops. I just derailed the thread. Anyway, Break a leg, Captain Zechs!

Does your play stick closer to the book, old movie, or new movie?
And congrats!

Congrats, Zechs! I've always wanted to have a part in a play, but alas, it was never to be. Hope you have a blast! Break a leg!
