Apparently AS's new Friday Night Fix thing will let those who choose see this episode on Friday instead of Sunday.

So, discussy here.

Friday, wha? .... When did this happen?

Man, I've been out of the loop.

I have mixed feelings on this ep. I loved the opening and couldn't stop laughing. Then in the middle, it was nothing but dry filler ( save for side of cole slaw gag) When they got to the pageant, things picked up again and were Great untill they were in the hospital, and then it felt like it was over already. Plus, that episode didn't really have an ending... but that's no big deal. Best Gags: Everything in the opening. Everything at The Talent Pageant and war grounds. And especially when he shot both of them.

3.5/5

Okay, I admit that for most of the first half of this one, I was getting ready to post that this was my least favorite so far. However, the episode did a complete turnaround and changed all that.

The first part wasn't all that bad to begin with. The thing about driving in the south was dead on. And the "I wish I didn't understand Spanish" thing had me laughing. However, I was worried this would become too much like the Family Guy's "To Love and Die in Dixie", especially with the Dukes of Hazzard freezefram gag, but it turned out to be even funnier than the ones in Family Guy.

So, yeah, great episode.

It seems the writers here are really into overplaying the obviousness of each joke.

It's true, not everyone from the South is Redneck, and not everyone from Columbia is a drug lord.

One of the few times I get to see Mississippi mentioned in anything, yay!

Judging by the amount of replies, I guess most people who reply to the talkbacks regularly are either out of the loop on Friday Night Fix, Don't have Windows Media Player, Or don't have DSL...

A pretty good episode. Could be better, but could've been a lot worse. I loved Stroker in this one for shooting both Hoop and his twin cousin.

"There, now I can decide who is who at my leisure."

That and the fact the he noticed the evil grin and smirk that most look-a-likes give at the end of an episode.

Wow. Not a lot of discussion for an episode that well deserved the TV-MA rating.

Oh well.

Oh well. Still don't make it good.

A bunch on Something Awful sure seemed to enjoy it.

Hehheh, show's getting better.

Earlier I couldn't resist and read the posts from those who saw it Friday, so I did have my hopes up a little too high for the beginning, but that worked good for the middle, which I thought would be slow compared to what people were saying, but I ended up liking the middle, and some jokes were spoiled while some I looked forward too.

The moral of the story: I should've kept up with current news and remember the Friday Night Fix started last week (or was it earlier?) or at least not read this thread and spoiled it :p

P.S.: Further Notes

I like that mechanic. Hopefully he pops up again. And while its too early to see where they're going with this series, but it looks like C.A.R.R. may or may not transcend his nature as a spoof of KI.T.T., who while lovable and more of a character than C.A.R.R., was admittedly a scifi hook to draw people into Knight Rider, and that C.A.R.R. might not be much of a character, but instead only make a few jokes here or there. But so far most of those jokes have been pretty good, so that's not necessary a bad thing. He hasn't really been majorly part of the plots since the pilot, but neither has he slowed down nor been in the way of the plot.

This was probably the best episode so far. Loved how the stupid billboard got worked into the episode.

"What, we STILL have those??"

Solid episode. I was wondering how the whole Columbian drug lord in the south would play out. S&H seems to be picking up the pace.

I really don't like this show but I don't hate it. It's fascinating in that it feels like it should be funnier than it is. =( This episode seemed to continue the could-be-good concept but poorly executed fashion of the previous episodes.

Though, with that being said, this was probably the best one thus far....it just needs to get a lot more consistant.

This show is never going to be the best thing on, but it's getting better. To me the best part was the opening at the movie theater, and the accidental shooting. For some reason I also enjoyed hearing C.A.R.R. with a southern accent.

This show just keeps getting better. The Columbian drug lord, still having the billboard, and Hoop's evil brother; it was all hilarious. The best part came at the end, when Stroker noticed Hoop's twin with an evil grin.

I don't know about everyone else, but that's how I feel.

But, I liked this episode. It was good at the beginning, but I felt it got a little slow by the middle, but really picked up by the end. When the mechanic was driving in the car with the drug lord and his goon, and they mentioned in Spanish that they'd kill him, and feed him his nuts, and he said in Spanish that he wished he didn't speak Spanish I laughed for a good minute. This show is really getting better with each episode, so I'll admit it, I'm looking forward to next weeks. My opinion: ****out of *****

Completely agreed. It sounds so good in concept, but the execution has yet to work.

You know what this episode has convinced me? This show needs to be taken down to 15 minutes(err, 11). It's clear they don't have enough jokes to fill a full half hour(err, 22 minutes), and if they got rid of the filler and reusing of jokes, it might work.
If the execution started working. And if Hoop wasn't the worst character ever created.

this epsidoe was pretty funny, I got a real kick out of the talent portion of the pagent, the lady bouncing on the trampolene to van halen's jump, all in all I would say the show is pretty funny, however I think that has something to do with birdman coming before it, anything tastes good after slurping **** soup.

Yeah, I agree. Why watch it on my computer when I can just wait for Sunday and watch it on my TV? Besides, I'd rather watch Gundam Seed and Justice League on Friday.

I agree. I actually laughed several times during the first half. But, I was bored by the second half. The fifteen minute format would almost definitely work better. Of course, I feel the same way about Venture Brothers.
