Camp Lazlo...I think I like it

Most of the stuff coming out of CN these days really really doesn't do anything for me (except maybe Foster's). But I think I'm slowly starting to appreciate Camp Lazlo for all it's worth. In fact, the fanbase, from what I read on forums on stuff, has already mounted and is building rapidly. Whether this is because the creator is behind Nick's Rocko's Modern Life or not remains to be seen.

I really enjoy the show though regardless. I'm sure this has been talked about ten-fold already, but I just had to voice my opinion. Lumpus and Clam (probably Clam more so) are my favorite characters of the bunch. Gotta like the way Clam talks. :cool:

:sad: I really see nothing special or cutting edge about it. Bringing any relation to rocco (however it's spelled) would be useful if it was making an attempt to be innovative,,,, it isn't. Rocco's Modern Life and Ren and Stimpy were different from anything tried before and though they weren't favorites of mine, they were unique. Uninteresting characters, simple storie plots, and very dull humor makes Lazlo the worst thing I've seen since Atomic Betty. That's not quite true,,, I liked Atomic Betty more.

I still say rip off, for example, The writers of The Simpsons created The Critic and both shows have very little in common.

Camp Lazlo reminds me of Sheep in the Big City, animation wise. The story is completely different! What did happen to Sheep in the Big City? :confused:

After seeing the awful pilot, I thought I hated this show. However, after seeing the marathon that aired earlier today while doing my homework, I have to say the thing is growing on me.

It's nowhere near Foster's Home or Ed, Edd, n' Eddy quality for me... but it's really perfectly watchable, and even quite funny at times.

I don't see how Lazlo is a rip-off of Spongebob,I do however find it weird of how some of the music in Camp Lazlo come from Spongebob,most likely because both have the same writers.

Lazlo??? Where's the quality in this show? It's like they made the show with cheap computer graphics or something. Cartoon Network is so going downhill. These "cartoon cartoon friday" shows really suck, and they have to air them ALL THE TIME! I wish we had Toonami everyday instead.

The show oozes the essence of Rocco. From the sound effects to the mannerisms and even a little bit of the directing. Scoutmaster Lumpus used to be Mr. Bighead in a past life.

They already have... its only promise this season is Toonami. And, I'm surprised you didn't wish for Winx Club everyday as opposed for Toonami.

But, now mentioning it, the Cartoon Network originals nowadays (most of them) do suck.

HMPH! Camp lazlo! What a stupid show! Even Mucha Lucha [shudders] is more enjoyable than this! All the shows on craptoonnetwork are the same low quality **** that they have! Who in the world watches this crap [Camp Lazlo] anyway? The animation is to putrid and the writing sucks! Caroonnetwork has been suffering with their crap like Mucha Lucha, Hi Hi, KND, baby looney tunes, cartoon fridays, fosters, the edds, ect. Until this crap [camp lazlo] gets removed, it's only going to bring cartoonnetwork downhill even more than it is!

The Lumpus & Slinkman segments during the cartoon summer breaks were funnier than the actual show. They're the funniest characters anyway, but that's not saying much.

Camp Lazlo is a nice change of pace from the deluge of spunky teenage girl shows and bad anime wannabes that seems to have taken over the animation world.

The only similarity I can see between this and Rocko is that you have an older guy who hates the main character for no real reason.

Well,the show is supposed to feel like Rocko! It has alot of the same crew! I think ever since CN put on Foster's they've been going up-hill.Camp Lazlo certainly pushes up me watching CN,now if only there was a "Colin versus the world" series...;)
