According to Jackson Publick...
On the DVD front, I'm told the official release date is officially March 14, 2006 now. It will be a 2 disk set. Due to space limitations inherent in the format, we won't be doing commentary on ALL the episodes, but we are hoping to cover at least a few of them, possibly as many as five. Trust me, you don't want to hear either or both of us babble for seven hours anyway, and no doubt the legal clearance on all our comments would be a nightmare (there's a lot of stuff you're not allowed to talk about, apparently. A friend of mine, who worked on the Goodfellas DVD, tells me they had to cut out Scorcese's comments about how, when he was a kid, the father of one of his friends worked at the Copa Cabana and would let him and his friends sneak in. Apparently, despite the fact that the Copa has been closed for years and the guy who worked there is no longer alive, one can't encourage underage drinking nor incriminate people for the crime of encouraging it even forty years later. If they rode Scorcese that hard for the commentary of a seminal movie like that, what chance do we have?).

Check out the rest of his latest update as well. There are a lot of notes on the progress of season 2 production, including some interesting bits on Patrick Warburton and more news on Brendon Small's involvement.

I wish more creators of shows would do production journals like this. I'm sure it can be a pain but it's gotta be a great way to connect with the audience. I can't wait for the DVD I just wonder if the new episodes will be out later now too? I thought they were tennative for Feb but who knows.

One needs only listen to the horror that was Sealab Vol. 2 to understand why we may be better off with only a few commentaries.

the whole first season plus commentaries extras and hopefully the pilot/christmas special on only 2 discs  someone needs to tell AS this isn't one of their 11 minute series :( I can only hope the video quality wont suffer huh?

If they're using dual-layer DVDs, they can easily split the first season into 7 and 6 for the two discs.

Samurai Jack was 2 discs, but that only had 1 commentary.

Hopefully they'll let the show have some breathing air by then. I would want to purchase the DVD, but they've played those episodes so many times, I'm nearly burned out on them. We'll also be getting the pilot and 11-minute Christmas episode, right?

I haven't seen anything concrete on the status of Past Tense one way or the other. But I would ASSUME CN is diligently trying to resolve the issues surrounding it.

This is one DVD that I'm really looking forward to, but what was the exact problem with Past Tense? I'd heard there were legal issues, but what were they?

The Leslie bots bore a striking resemblace to some featured in Heavy Metal magazine. The creator was a parody of the artist as well. Turner told them not to air it in case of any legal complications.
I heard somewhere they had gotten clearence, and just had to add something to the credits.

What about DVDs of Robot Chicken, and while not an AS show, Megas XLR?

Funny you should meniton Robot Chicken. I heave heard that Seth Green said in a Magazine that the Robot Chicken DVD will be coming in January to concide with Season 2 (Conisdering it's coming from AS, i don't expect more htan 13 episodes to be included on it though)

If it's season 1, then it'd have to be 26, right?
What do you mean Megas has been shot down?

What do you mean Megas has been shot down?Actualy, I'm not sure. Most Accounts say that RC had 20 Episodes in it's first Season, so that's what i go by.
I Beleive that a Season 1 DVD for Megas was once on CN's radar, but a little while Back, MAtt Wilson said something about new, revised CN DVD info that says that the DVD has been pushed completely off the Radar. Perhaps he or Toonmaster can elaborate.
Edit: Found MAtt's actual response on the Megas situation.

Didn't they make that comparrison in the dialogue, too?
"How do you like my sleek and sexy robots? Pretty cool, huh?"
"Yes, yes, we've all seen that issue of Heavy Metal before."

Not sure of the exact words but I think it was more ike, "I had that issue of Heavy Metal too." Either way the magazine was directly mentioned in the dialogue.
