The first interaction I remember having with you, Del, consisted of me acting irritated with you over at the Adult Swim board. The early perception I had of you rubbed me the wrong way, and I was quite embarrassed once I realized just how wrong that early impression was.

I greatly enjoy reading all of your posts. Whether writing about The Simpsons or bias in the media, your ideas are original, interesting, and (of near equal importance) extremely well expressed. Your command of language is enviable, you've got great taste in cartoons, and you just seem like an all around good guy. Maybe someday, if our schedules allow it and we can overcome our social hangups, we can share that birch beer.

I had considered posting a jesting letter announcing that I would be taking a further sabbatical, but I was, as I often am, without sufficient wit to make good on that premise. So unmirthfully be assured that I have no intention of dissapearing again.

I greatly appreciate all of the pleasant sentiments issued in this thread.

I am particularly happy to recieve the salutations from Shnay and Randomguy, it is always gratifying to be lauded by your betters.

I also highly regard Captain Harlock, Lord Dalek, and Artimus Gigan's fittingly eccentric greetings. If I am to believe my reputation, here and in life, they suit me well.
