The Fairly OddParents!

...possibly Nick's greatest cartoon on right now. I eagerly watch it when I can; the best eppys by far are when Timmy's teacher tried to show the Oddparents exist and THE CRIMISON CHIN.

Two things-anyone else big fans of this show? And what DID happen in the X-Mas special? I never got to see it... :(

The x-mas episode was a very good episode. It was Christmas, and Timmy sang this song that he wished Christmas was every day. Cosmo and Wanda grant his wish, but fail to tell him that every year, all the fairies get together and give almost all their magic to Santa because he needs it the most since creating toys is a lot of work. And on the 15th day of Christmas, the other holidays characters, the Easter bunny, the april fool, cupid (same guy as on the episode about Cosmo and Wanda's anniversery.), New Years baby, and a Halloween dog (Easter bunny's dog) and they get mad at Timmy for wishing that. Since Cosmo and Wanda don't have any magic left they can't undo the wish. So the other holidays take Cosmo and Wanda captive and try to get to the North Pole to get rid of Santa, while Timmy trys to beat them there and warn Santa, but what the other holidays don't know: Everyother kid in the world is on Timmy's side.

The fight of the holidays was great with the music and animation.

I too missed the Christmas special. I agree that "Fairly Oddparents" is one of the best shows on Nickelodeon right now, which isn't say much. I don't watch Nick much, but if it's always a treat to see an episode of "The Fairly Oddparents." It's created by Butch Hartman, who worked on "Dexter's Lab." Too bad "FO" wasn't on CN, because I'd watch it more often if it was.

FairlyOdd Parents is good, but not as good as SpongeBob SquarePants! The Christmas eppy was good... :bosko:

I say that the top 3 shows on Nick are Spongebob Squarepants, Invader Zim, and Fairly Oddparents.

Oddparents is funny,but pales in comparison (like pretty much every other show EVER created) to INVADER ZIM! Every episode of Zim has been hilarious (the gags and bizarre bits of dialogue make shows like freakazoid and family guy look normal) while being dark,twisted and cool at the same time...the halloween episode and the one where zim is stealing children`s body organs ("And replacing them with....STUFF....") are two of the most demented little chunks of animation I have ever seen.

...too bad it`s being pushed around the schedule because of how "risky" nick thinks it is...what happened to the cool,daring nickelodeon that introduced us to ren and stimpy and rocko`s modern life!?!?

AGREED!! Personally, I would put the shows in this order:
1. Fairly Oddparents
2. Invader Zim
3. Spongebob Squarepants

I just can't get enough of the Fairly Oddparents, the characters and writing on that show are just brilliant. Invader Zim is a VERY close 2nd though.

I guess what pushes zim into 1st for me is partly the fact that the "hero" is a villainous alien,partly the dark,technoey feel of the music and animation,and just a tad bit because of Johnen at the head of the credits...itd be a great show no matter who he was,but I like the idea that nick asked for a cartoon by a guy who`s previous credits involve a rabbit shooting it`s own bloody intestines out it`s rear and a guy tearing the brains from an old lady with a spork.

Oh yeah,best episode of fairly oddparents is the one with Cosmo trying to be evil for a day and the one introducing the crimson chin...anything Cosmo says is pretty much always the best part of the show for me,he`s like the Homer Simpson of nicktoons.

I fell in love with this show immediately...then fell out of love when they started showing the same eight episodes over and over. I still catch the show every once in a while. Thankfully, a new season starts next year.

Some of my favorite episodes:

Power Mad - featuring hilarious parodies of "The Matrix" and "Tron".
Chin Up - Best lines: "Who'd you say writes my comic?" "Some 40-year-old dude who lives with his mom." "Any money in it?" "Lives with his mom."

Nicktoon seasons run 20 episodes long. But Butch got delayed by doing another project, which is why it's taking so long.

I've loved Zim from the very beginning. Best anti-hero ever! (Take THAT Heathcliff from wuthering heights you sucked anyway)

The chemistry in the rivalry between Dib and Zim keeps getting better and better. Even when they have to work together they never gain any postive feelings for eachother, if anything, they end up hating eacthother even more.

And Gaz is creepy, i have fears she's going to grow up to be like Miss Bitters. And why not, her father's never around, her brother's an annoying nerd who's too obsessed with aliens to notice her suffering and her only friend is her game slave.

And don't get me started on graphics and animation, one word SWEET!!!!

Also the voice acting was well done, i shutter to think of anyone other then Richard horvitz doing zim. He gives that little green guy so much character. (Maniacal laughter :D )

there are many other reasons i love zim but i'll just end with this: GIR is CUTE!!!!!
