People have been complaining about Cartoon Network not caring about old cartoons anymore.
About shoveling them to the dead end late night Fridays slot.
About totally shelving PPG and Dexter save for Top 5 Cartoons of the week on Weekdays.
About running only the newest and most well known Cartoons week after week without showing anything before 2000.
Well I've got some good news for you Old CN Fans: Some of you're favorite shows are coming back, but not in the way you thoughts.
Starting September 12th, at 8:00 AM and 9:30 PM (Fairly prime slots BTW) CN is running weekdays the Cartoon Cartoon Show. No this isn't the old CN "What A Cartoon show" that showed failed pilots/shorts of various cartoons from the network's early years. This is repackaging classic cartoons that you thought CN Forgot about. That's right. It includes un-late night editions of Evil Con Carne. Season One Johnny Bravo. And PPG and Dexter toons that you've probably been yearning to see once more.
The most exciting news is some of the cartoons playing come from shows not played on Cartoon Network for YEARS.
I Am Weasel
Cow And Chicken
Whatever Happened To Robot Jones?
This bold new expierment of trying to have faith in the originals is not only a refreshing site to see but just might make the fall schedule worth watching. Of course we'll see how long it lasts, but I applaud this new start at least and encourage you all to watch. Afterall you want to see these shows again right?

Well then you're going to have to continue to set up/set your VCR to late night Fridays at 3AM then, because SJ isn't coming to this. On the "Cartoon Cartoon" toons (SJ is a Cartoon Network original. Different then a CCF). However, this could be a good sign for SJ and it's kin. Think about it: If CN is willing to take a chance and gamble with showing old Cartoons, then that means that it might be willing to give them another shot as it were, which may lead to them coming back more on the lineup. This could also mean the other originals being seen as well. I'm not making any bets here, but if this Cartoon Cartoon show is successful it could mean very good news for the "old" fans. However, I'm worried that since there have been no commericals for this yet, CN isn't expecting that much to happen. Let's hope that they show up soon or ratings are at least decently high anyway.

Hopefully, this will reduce the amount of complaining I see in this place. I welcome the return of some of the Cartoon Cartoon shows. It also looks like that One Piece will no longer air during the weekdays, after this week.

The 8:00 slot shows: Mommy Fearest and The Muffin King

Can't remember what shows they're from, but I think one of them is a Johnny Bravo and another an I am Weasel.

Hopefully, it'll still be around next summer (supposedly, my mother will feel pity upon me during my recuperation, and she'll be willing to, you guessed it).
The 8:00 slot shows: Mommy Fearest and The Muffin King
The 9:30 slot shows: Boogie Frights and Filet of Soul
Mommy Fearest - PPG
The Muffin King - Dexter
Boogie Frights - PPG
Filet of Soul - Dexter
I'm supposing the other shows will come up later. And, hopefully, some good comes of this! I'm just extatic...

Not that I'm a big fan of 4kids' version of the show, but at least it was something OTHER than Teen Titans for a change.

Too much Baby Looney Tunes and not enough action but Mucha off prime time and old CC's makes things considerably better on the comedy side of CN. Foster's on weekdays is also welcome but not THAT much Foster's.
Now this is what I'd like to see.

If you go to schedule.cartoonnetwork.com you can currently see the schedule through next week Monday. By choosing the Monday schedule you can see the Cartoon Cartoon Show listed. By clicking "See all showings" (or something like that) next to The Cartoon Cartoon Show, you can see the listings for the show for about another week out.

One question though, will they show eps. of thes 2 shows:
Sheep
Courage
Courage probably, but if they do show sheep, I won't say a bad thing about CN for months!

Way to go, CN!. I was starting to think you guys were on crack with the way the schedule's been lately.
And I'm surprised that One Piece is already being taken off weekdays. If the show was still a slight success with the 4kids dub, I wonder how much of a success it could be with a better treatment.

Had FUNimation got it a few years back I imagine by now it would have been at least as popular as Inuyasha or if nothing else... more popular than Yu Yu Hakusho (which is moderately popular overall). It would also have plenty of merchadise rolling around, uncut DVD's and video games that aren't censored. Oh yeah... and no cut episodes.

YGO GX will effect very little. It is gonna come in October I'm sure and it'll replace Static most likely and TS and Lyoko will move down to 5 and 5:30. This may or may not effect YGO in prime time. My hopes are that they get rid of it when YGO GX starts and replace it with Zatch Bell or JLU (or YYH but ya know... even I think that's not possible).
So I think this is the general idea of the Fall schedule. Not much will likely change. I'd sorta expect the Eds back in prime time by October but maybe not... We'll see.
It's entirely possible that One Piece will return to 10PM but I'm not expecting that yet.
If there's one thing we know about CN it's that they don't like to change a lot at a time. They like to ease things out. Unless they tank... then it's a quick removal for sure.

What you say is right... and, they're reading us?
If they want to please their fans, they could always take a bit of their time, cut out the repeat shows and programming, and give us some of the classics presented as originally aired. While most may think this is good, if this is what they're going to give us to try to make us thing that they're the good guy, then it might work for some, but others are going to want the actual shows presented... hell, if they gave me boxed sets, I'd leave them alone.

It's nothing but pure filler. The whole cartoon is just Dad breaking stuff and saying he'll fix it later. I couldn't find a funny joke in that whole episode.
The only good part in the episode was Dad's laughing cry. It was some great voice acting.
Dexter' Lab is my favorite modern cartoon. But season 3 was just awful. Part of it do to the formatting. The 4 minute fillers were always boring.
