Scholastic Books came out with a new "how to draw" book for Codename: Kids Next Door called Operation: D.R.A.W. (http://shop.scholastic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=30952&langId=-1&storeId=10101&categoryId=searchResults&catalogId=10004&pageSize=9&beginIndex=0&searchTerm=operation%20draw&catIndex=0&sortBy=default&sType=SimpleSearch). I've seen some of the pages and it looks pretty good, even for beginner artist. It breaks down the shapes of the characters and helps you capture their pose. Although its aim for kids, I think its pretty good for any age that wants to draw the characters.

I would love to draw KND, but $4.99 is little too rich for my blood. I wonder does it also teach how to draw other than just main characters as well as adults and villains. Where did you see the other pages CookieS? Oooooooo, is there one for EEnE!?

As I'm posting this, the top entry after the title paragraph at the Kids Next Blog (http://knd.curiouspictures.com/blog/) is "Late Summer Reading". This is where some sample pages from the three KND books have been posted:
* From the 2x4 Handbook: Stats on Hippie Hop, including a diatribe from Numbuh Two on how it always gets smashed (the only useful thing it's ever done is jump into a castle turret).
* From Op HOW-TO-DRAW: How to draw Numbuh One
* From Op COLORING: KND Operative Training, with scenes from Op END. So they call 274's getaway vehicle the SCAMPER?

This also comes with a sneak of a 2006 release, "Sooper Secrets And Boomerang Bloopers". This sneak features Numbuh Four's Top Ten Butt-Kicking battles! And here's my commentary.

Numbuh One’s always going on about “teamwork” and “shared responsibility,” blah blah blah blah WHATEVER. Everyone knows that I’m the one who does the real work around here – if it wasn’t for me, every kid in our sector would’ve been pounded and wedgied and adultimafied into next Tuesday by now!

Don't forget Tommy, who saved your hiney from being permanently koala-ified... but I digress.

I mean, just in like the last couple years or so, I’ve become world-famous for:

10) Saving all the dumb rainbow-monkey crazed girls at my dad’s office from getting blasted off to Pluto by Mr. Boss!

Yeah, but you weren't going to do anything about it, until Numbuh 3 insisted that you save the others first.

9) Stealing back my candy from Stickybeard last Halloween. He thought he’d get away with taking all the neighborhood kids’ candybags, but he was SORELY mistaken. It was me versus like a buhmillion pirates, but BAM! WHAP! I whipped ‘em all!

8) Fighting my way out of a movie theater crammed full of supervillains, armed with nothing but a box of chewy pellets and my nerves of steel!

I'll give you those.

7) Taming a heard of caffeine-crazed dads at the Bully Fights! It’s not easy to wrestle with a 200 lb dad bull when you’re dressed in a matador’s costume, but I managed it! AND I rescued my OWN dad in the process!

I take that this is from Op MATADOR...

6) Destroying a truckload of super deadly pianos before they could torture any kids!

But your partners had to destroy the piano that would have tortured you, because you got injured doing the above.

5) Defeating the Dodgeball Wizard in a one-on-one dogeball battle to the DEATH! On top of a SKYSCRAPER!

Op DODGEBALL, but wait till Joey grows up...

4) Rescuing a stash of stolen homework from the Six Gum Gang while saving a school bus full of kids from total destruction! The Delightful Dorks thought they could get away with turning in my spelling work and saying it was theirs, but I sure showed them!

One, the Six Gums would be behind bars (or whatever passes as such at Gallagher) by now without your meddling chase with the other guy, and two, the Delightfuls did pass it off as yours, and got yelled at for it.

3) Dressing up like a cruddy girl to go to a stupid sleepover party and save Kuki and Numbuh 86 from evil teenagers, whose butts I totally kicked ALL BY MYSELF!

Only because since Numbuh Five wasn't there to stop them. And they still took away the Codemodule (which later led to the aforementioned animalification).

2) Rescuing Kuki from that idiot King Sandy who’s always trying to marry her, MULTIPLE times, without ANY help from ANYONE at ALL! And while I was at it I trashed his stupid oversized sandcastle AND kicked the butts of all his loser knights![quote]

Two words, Wally: High tide. And you were hardly involved in Op KASTLE, which was more about Mushi.

[quote]1) Oh, and of course there’s the time I saved the Moonbase. I dunno what other kids might’ve told you, but it was ALL me ALL the way! I even punched out 274 in a one-on-one fistfight, and he was like the greatest operative ever! Because I’m JUST THAT AWESOME!!!

I'll give the fist-fight to you, but who drove the SCAMPER and put the Moonbase back on the moon? Not you. Who shot you on to the SCAMPER to begin with? Again, not you.

The only thing that's dumber than an idiot is an idiot who thinks he's such a smart aleck. That's Numbuh 4 for ya ;)
