I think its a tech demo SEGA made to show what they can do with the hardware for the next consoles, not an actual game (yet anyway).

No, because games can't have the camera doing berral-rolls, constantly change position to look at the character and/or the enemy, and still give the player easy controll of said game. Its comon sence right there. The only part that even looked like it was being controlled was where the ring-dispencers where bing thrown. I'm 90% sure this was just a movie rendered with real time graphics.

As far as I could see with the limitations of squinty vision, the graphics are easily in the range of next-gen hardware, but I'm honestly tired of the post-Sonic Adventure art style.

Positive it would be Revolution, being that Sonic creator supports it and Sega and Nintendo are like buds, well maybe not that close but there cool with eachother.

Yeah sonic could do that since Sonic2
and the woman at the end said it was all done without pre-rendered graphics. So while it may have been a scripted scene, it was in-game graphics.

Well judging by the footage the game is going for a Teen rating with all of that gunfire. Looks like Sonic Team is trying to take their newer Sonic properties to the next level.

Heh, that was veeeery awesome. However, that looked more like a seperate story sequence rather than actual gameplay (besides the ring capsule throwing). Obviously since this was just a tech demo, an actual game would be different in some ways, but it would still be really good.
A major thing I want to see in the future Sonic games is more manuvering. Take for example in the video, Sonic was going around, jumping from wall to wall even if they are a wide range apart...that's that sort of thing that I want to do.

I was...really underwhelmed by that. Sonic in 3D has never been an enjoyable experience for me and this game just looks like a super pretty version of Sonic Adventure 2. I'd love it if that part of him just running was in the game...but I doubt we'll get just a pure sonic game.
Make a 2D version of Sonic ala Sonic 2 or 3 with those graphics and I'd be happy. Same goes for Mario.

Well they are for Mario on DS, but with 64 bit graphics.
I thought Sonic Advance was good, but Sonic Advance 2 was... odd, and I never bothered with Sonic Advance 3.
I agree with Not Romey. Bring back the classic style!

I demand the following of the next sonic game:
Decently composed techno music and if words are to be spoken they must either be engrish or synth. IF i detect even one whiney white boy voice(like the Sonic Heros song) I shall throw the controler down in disgust
Eggman shall be re-renamed Robotnik now and forevermore. For Eggman depicts a villan who is weak and illproportioned, Robotnik is a name that strikes terror into the coldest hearts of the most cuddly forest animals.
Knuckles shall talk normal and have no faux austrailioan accent
Enemies shall explode in a blaze of glory and their small parts shall fly off into different directions or their bodies shall just break down and will be able to be kicked around
The majority of the worlds shall be a melding of Terestial forst and jungle or metropolis and jungle or metropolis and ocean(I hate, ice, dessert, and lava worlds)
Chaotix still has not recieved their props, they shall have cameos so all are aware of their underapperciated awsomeness
Sonic must face off against Metal Sonic, Knuckles must face off against Metal Knuckles, and so on and so forth. No evil clones shall take part in the boss battles, robotic version were a mainstay of the Genesis/Sega CD/32X era....and thus to remain pure and good this one shall do so as well
Bigs The Cat, Amy, Cookie, Cream, and all the cast of characters introduced in the Sonic Adventure series shall be put to death and the masses shall drink their blood in victory

She was also called Sally in the US Sonic CD version
